Sorry, I don't believe in the 'safe space' principle. Oppressing one's freedom to speak or express themselves for the sake of not offending someone else is still oppression. Freedom of speech does not mean freedom from reprisal. If someone doesn't like what they see or read, they can use the 'block' feature. That's why it's there.
In my safe space!

Yeh sorry but putting snakes on is poser and lame. Snake badges are there to designate Shelby or Cobra which the car is not.

to me... badging and emblems are a no no, because those are brand related and not just a cosmetic item. There's a lot to a brand and companies spend a lot of money to protect those brands. I'm especially against it since I work in advertising.

^ Exactly my point to the last two responses.

Like someone said earlier, it's your car and you can do whatever you want with it. Just be ready to have your flame suit on if you post any pictures or you go to any car show/event.

Just trying to save you the embarrassment...that's like an EB people putting "GT" emblems on their car. It's just one of those things you should not do.

So if someone puts GT PP wheels on an EB, they are posers?

Yeah, that whole season of South Park pretty much summed up my opinions on the Internet and Social Media.

People have their opinions. But if the Guy want to put snakes all over why not.

You buy the car to make it yours, period.

Why would people be talking that's it's a no, no when everyone here is replacing the steering wheel with a GT350 exclusive wheel. Isn't it the same thing? They are not meant for the regular mustangs yet people are doing it anyways. Or now people are going to say "oh, that's different". No, IMO is the same shite. So, Same thing with the snake logo.

Because no car enthusiast in their right mind is going to look at a car with a steering wheel and say.... oh look at that guy trying to be pretend to be a Shelby. If you put a GTR emblem on a Mustang, that's the same thing as putting a Shelby emblem on there. It's not a Shelby and it's not a Nissan. It's a branding issue, not a modding issue. He can put snakes all over the car and nobody will care as long as it isn't the actual Shelby emblem.

Also do whatever you want just don't get mad when people voice their opinion about your mod. You are free to put lambo logos all over it if you want and we are free to say we think it's being a poser. We can say a steering wheel isn't any big deal and you can say it is. It's all opinion at the end of the day.

I agree with the idea that using a part from a better car being different than using a label of a better car.

I've actually seen someone with a GTR emblem on a mustang. It was funny but the guy was really claiming it was a GTR special edition mustang, he said he bought it from someone else so maybe he had no clue.

1 out of 100 people would notice (the car enthusiast) but the rest won't give a rats azz. Just as with the guy with the GTR emblem. Mind you regular people can't even distinguish a mustang from a fusion or a corolla for that matter.

But yeah, take it to a car show and people will raise some eyebrows.

I saw a Civic one day with BMW emblems all over it. I'm sure he was fooling somebody but damn was it ghetto looking and funny. It was definitely worth a good laugh for a few miles.
