Early December. I still think it will be 3-4 weeks. I can't get my wife to care enough to get the VIN and check.

I'll bet it shows up by mid January. I'm sure Jay or Sherman could tell you the VIN and give you an idea where it's at.

I know they could but I am trying so hard to it get hyped up about it until I know I am getting it. If I hear it is coming in next week I will be useless.

it takes some major patience, and a heat gun. A couple of them I hit first try, then others I had to take on and off and keep trying to lay it down without any bubbles. If the garage were warmer it would have helped but my impatient ass was out there when it was 30 outside, probably 50 something in the garage. The laminx is definitely a thick material and forms very well with heat but stiffens up pretty quick as it cools. I think if you did this all the time it would be super easy but I've never worked with laminx so it was some trial and error. We're wrapping my roof tomorrow on the Mustang. That vinyl is a lot thinner and I'm going to preheat the garage before doing that.

Looks great. Would it be feasible to peel this stuff off after a few years if you decided you didn't like it anymore for some reason? Or would that just be a sticky mess? Just wondering how permanent it is.

A. I hate gloss vinyl. It swirls the instant you put the felt on it to install it.
B. I suck at doing vinyl.
C. If I want the roof black I'm going to have to paint it because I'm not happy with the look of the vinyl itself.

I've wondered about swirls in gloss vinyl. If it's anything like the dirt bike graphics I'm familiar with installing....it's impossible to get a flawless finished product. Minor swirl marks don't really matter on a dirt bike but it would bother me on a car.

I think gloss is the only way to go, though. It has the effect of looking like a glass roof with dark tinted windows. Sorry it didn't work out for you.

On another note, I just got back from a drive in the car. My wife has only been in it once since I got it and she was sick afterward. Thought it was a fluke but we only got about 20 miles from the house today and had to turn around and go home. Must be a combination of the twisty roads we were on and poor visibility or something. I'm kinda bummed she can't really seem to enjoy the car with me.

Man that sucks. My wife does pretty well but I have some friends that get sick really quick just in normal driving as passengers much less aggressive backroad driving.

I agree that I think gloss is the only way I would be happy with it, with that said it'll just have to be painted gloss if I want to do that. I might wait until I get a lot of other things done and if I feel like the exterior warrants it I'll just have to find a painter.
