Anything you guys would recommend on getting done suspension wise or upgrades to get the GT PP ready for drifting?

Already has full sets of wheels and tires, no worries.

Thinking about a locker kit for wheel hop, nothing else comes to mind right away.

Any help?

You'll need a Hoonigan windshield banner.

Lower the butt some. Stiffen it with some good Springs (preferably a linear spring), big thick sway rear sway bar, lots of cheap tires.

I agree, first thing really should be rear swaybar. Most cars and the new mustang are meant for the general public, and will understeer. The new mustang does. This would be the minimum first mod, followed by any subframe reinforcement.

cheap tires sound like a good idea at first, but the really only limit your speed. if you put cheap/all season tires, they will just chunk. (loose pieces of the tire) and keep you from really feeling the dynamics of the car.

I suggest cheaper, performance oriented tires like federal ss595s. these are decent, cheaper tires, dont chunk too bad, and give a good overall feel. you could try nitto nt-555's also..

The weight of the car makes it easy to use more performance oriented tires.. It may cost a little more, but will be easier to read the car, and enjoy the cars performance.

Cheap tires just break loose with very little effort. Seems fun, and is easier at first, but you really dont get to transfer weight and get used to how the suspension reacts..

Are you planning to do some drift events with your car?

Plan to do about 10 events this summer! I'm considering some sticky NT05 for the front tires and some springs.

Coils would be nice, but the budget is always a consideration

Currently working with Steeda to help build a car.
We've put in a 4 point harness behind the rear seats. Car has stock Recaros.

Currently on order:
555-2129 Stop the Hop package
555-4440 Alum. Diff Bushings
555-2122U Springs/swaybars
555-5532 G-trac brace

Still debating on a wheel/tire combo for the rear

Nice!

Ive got rear swaybar coming from santa.

Waiting for the koni yellows to release early next year, and Iooking for some budget oriented wheels to beat on at the track.

Like I mentioned earlier, based on my experience drifting my s197, that wider wheels are great, allow you to put more rubber on the back, and with a heavy car its helpful to have more grip. You can then dial the balance with the swaybar adjustments.

I personally will be running a square setup and probably the same tires on all corners. My experience with direct tire experience is with:

Falken Azenis (rt-215's and rt-615's) Greasy and wierd when really hot, but at normal temps they are grippy and consistent, until they are too hot.

Nitto nt555's - like these the most for drifting and street use, consistent most all of the time, and decent wear.

Federal ss595s - cheaper, do chunk a bit more, but are good all around

Let me know when you get to track the car, I will be interested in comparing notes!

Awesome! I'll keep that in mind for the NT555
I see a lot of lighter missles running the Falkens up front. I'm debating on keeping the stock Pirelli until they burn out. I've reached out to some guys who run an S550 or S197 and say they have good results with a thinner 17 or 18" wheel and tire. "Easier to keep spinning" was their review.

Last year we burnt up some Potenza S04s. They were good until the center strip unwound like tape... lol

I ran 235/40r18 on the front and 265/35r18 on my s197 if I recall correctly with a uprated rear bar
