Really making me want to pull the trigger on the SP longtubes I've been eyeing. My car is just a weekend cruiser too so I'm ok with a few decibels north of "sane". Daily driving a car like that would be another story.

On a side note....got the car cleaned up and put away this weekend. With the upcoming weather it may be a while before it comes out of hibernation. So I snapped a better pic after the tint.

You been tracking your car or are you trying to surprise yourself with its progress and arrival?

I told my wife about the VIN tracking but she is just not all about that stuff. I am sure it will just be a surprise, which is fine with me honestly. I am just collecting cash for mods now. Worse case I get it for my birthday which is only about 6 weeks away. I have waited this long so I can hold out. Still can't wait to walk into that garage and see it sitting there.

It would be way worse if I wasn't renting camera gear and actually owned the stuff I use. Car parts > camera gear for right now.

Yeah, I usually rent about $6k in gear for shoots, which isn't much more than a body and a couple lenses. There's a place in Brentwood that I do local pickup and dropoff.

Holy crap man! How many of these shoots do you do per year? At that price just get a body and some L series lenses and be done with it. Unless you make that money back somehow by doing the shoot.

We have 2 DSLRs, I mean nothing fancy but they get the job done.

I don't have to rent a lot, it only cost about $200 to rent $6k in gear for me when I need it. Usually if we go to the Rolex Equestrian event I'll rent, then I will rent to shoot the car maybe once or twice a year. I usually just use my clients 6D for work purposes. I haven't really wanted to drop that much money on a 5D MKIII just for personal use yet. It will snow ball real quick on me because once I get another body I'll want lights and everything. I actually have a list made buuuuuut, the Mustang is priority lol

( I think that earlier post read like I spend $6k to rent... that's crazy, I could rent the entire Canon catalog for that )
