I don't get the point of them, nobody apart from the driver can see them? Driver doesn't really need to see them, I would assume they know where they're going!
Just retro-cool. Drove a '67 fastback with them on and it adds to the experience - seriously!

Just undone the manual from its wrapper in the glove compartment but could not find the service booklet, have any of you guys got yours?
I was told (by my dealer) that there isn't a paper version. It's all electronic. He also said service intervals are 10,000 for the EB.

It better not be electronic, had that on my old Mazda 6 a few year ago. Nobody apart from a Mazda dealer had the kit to update the records! That of course meant main dealer or nothing.

Service interval is 10k or 1 year, think 1st, 2nd, 4th service are ÂŁ249, the 3rd is ÂŁ499

All went well,it's weird when you see your car for the first time and the journey it's made.If you don't want the supplied no plate fixings they won't fix your plates for you at Dunton, so I spent 15 mins fitting the back one on and left the front one in the window until I got home. That 3M tape is pretty good . Apparently mine is the second mustang that has left Essex Auto at Dunton.
Good that they won't fix the plates as asked. I will be fixing both plates with 3M tape. Means you probably got away with not paying the dartford roll with the front plate off lol

Didn't think of that! During the times I've had a bit of a play with the menus, and I didn't find anything relating to service. There's nothing in the manual either.

I'm sure it's in some way against to law to restrict to main dealers. Although I suppose they could say "anyone can service as long as they have our ÂŁ1,000,000 software". I must admit, it wouldn't exactly be my first choice to take to a main dealer as I'd rather not have it coming out worse than it went in.

The 3M 'dual lock' is great. If you accidentally position slightly wonky, you can just pull off and re-position. You also effectively get 'sto n show' for photoshoots, meets etc. For me, it was slightly less scary than just using the 3M VHB directly, which is described as 'permanent'. I've just used two 2cm square pieces of 'dual lock' for each plate and they've held fine in 300 miles of wind and rain. There is one obvious potential disadvantage though!

I've got some of that stuff for holding up pictures on the walls of my rental flat.

Last place I was in there was no mess after a year and a half.

One question: Do you have to prebend the front plate?

I was going to but I didn't,not much of an angle anyway.
I warmed up a spare plate and bent it, but it left a line mark on the visible side.

I did - with the Aluminium plate its easy. If you have acrylic, you could get away without, but in my own mind, I thought it might rub against the middle 'point of the bumper' and put constant pressure on the pads.

I suppose you could just bend the acrylic plate, but in my mind I'd convinced myself it would rub against the 'pointy bit of the bumper' and also put constant pressure on the pads.

I put a few bits of self adhesive neoprene on the plate, just in case it gets knocked onto the bumper it wont scratch. Worth having a one in the middle for the bumper I thought.

I've had a year to obsess over things like this!

If I were doing it again, I'd use round pads as they probably look better (when the plate is off) than the square ones that I used, especially as they're not brilliantly square or level.
