MMR has had a overwhelming # of calls from engine builders and customers across the country with broken/failed lower crankshaft sprockets. It seems the majority have been those with upgraded camshafts or superchargers but many have also been stock applications. We even received a call from a MMR dealer (BBR) who had even broke 2 on the same engine. When this part breaks catastrophic failure is certain (bent valves, damaged pistons,cylinder heads etc). MMR went to work quickly on a solution and are now selling the MMR Billet Steel gear. This gear replaces the factory powdered metal gear directly with no other changes, the MMR gears are manufactured from billet 9310 heat treated material and precision made in the US by MMR. If you are building aftermarket engine or rebuilding a coyote engine you need one of these!!! This is the only gear proven in competition to handle over 4000HP and 10,000 RPM!! All these so called crank sprocket failures occuring I can't seem to find any of these issues mentioned within the 6GM forum? A few timing sprocket failures but crank sprockets, really?
SC yeah, but can you be a bit more specific in regards to the S550 Coyotes having issues especially in stock configuration please?

Yep, anything can break but your post claims "many stock applications" are breaking. Unless l overlooked it I have yet to see a post on the M6G forum that it's happened once on a stock na car.:shrug:

I've seen a 2015 run high 8s many 9 seconds passes without the sprocket and opg. I'm wondering if it's really necessary if ur making no more than 700rwhp
