That's at least something mate,

Still so weird are cars are not together when they were built within a week of each other and heading to the same dealer.....

Well the latest is my car is supposed to sail on the Galveston Highway on 08.12.15 so a January delivery date for sure with it arriving at Zeebrugge 22.12.15....

I'll pick it up for you :headbang:

Just chased again...

Got confirmation that my car came in about half an hour ago :)

I stressed that I was keen to pick it up on Saturday if possible (I am out of the country the following weekend!).

My sales guy is out today but has a message to call me first thing.

Fingers crossed!

Haha I'm sure there would be a few volunteers! That's going to be painful if I have to wait another couple of weeks :headbonk:

DELIVERED......No cover though, not sure when I can pick up, and asked them not to fit those plate surrounds and don't drill bumpers.

Nice! I just said fit the brackets...I don't have an alternative that doesn't involved drilling the bumpers! Crazy I know. I didn't like the idea of the dealership trying to drill to the pointed bumper so I will be doing it myself. Once I have plates made up that don't have the dealer branding all over them!

You know you can get self adhesive plates, right? As in actual stickers, not acrylic plates with sticky pads on the back, but actual stickers.

I think that's the route I'm going, certainly with the front one at least.

Does fitting the brackets not involve drilling the bumper then?

Yes but seeing as I will be using the same holes anyway when I fit my own I though why not...

Re the stickers - seen them but vaguely remember them being illegal?

Just spoke to my dealer who told me I'm looking at an ETD of 12th Dec, even though I happen to know it's currently sat at Southampton and is due to leave tomorrow.

Even better than that though, is when I asked him not to fit the number plate brackets as I don't want them drilling anything, he then says he can't release the car if they haven't fitted plates! :rules:

I think once I've paid for it it becomes my property and I shall bloody well do what the hell I like with it!! :headbang:

I haven't found anything on the dvla/gov websites that specifically says they're illegal.

As long as they're otherwise legal i.e. correct font & spacing, I doubt the police would bother pulling you. As I said, mine would only be a sticker on the front so it's not like they'd get a prolonged look at it anyway.

Just need to convince the bloody dealer to let me take the car without them fitting plates! :frusty:
