Hello Guys,
Ok so I have to ask this otherwise it will keep bothering me.
So I know I should have been more persistent in shopping around for my mustang to get a better price instead of going in on impulse.
Basically got a 2016 GT Base for 32K.
Financed at 31xxx at 2.99% after 4k down.
Ok so now I am realizing that I probably could have gotten a Premium GT for around 32K without too many options.
So my question is this and how crazy would this be?
My car is only a few weeks old and about 400 miles.
I know I took a hit as soon as I left the lot.
But if I could find a dealer who has a Premium for about 32K and went in and traded mine in.
What do you think I could expect?
And Yes you can say I am insane and all that, I am perfectly willing to hear it.
I am just pondering the thought right now.
Any input is appreciated.
Thanks

You're not crazy, premium is worth it and there is no way I would have bought my car without all those added goodies.

It certainly does not hurt to try and find a dealer who would give you that 32k deal...it would probably work in your favor as well, if you traded your car in to that same dealer. Luckily, you only have 400 miles, if you are serious about trading it in, I'd recommend you not drive your car much more to keep the mileage very low.

If the difference in trade-in is not huge, I'd definitely do it.

May I know which dealer you get the quotation from? I plan to buy a mustang at bay area in the next one or two weeks and the best price I got so far is 32k before tax for gt base.

I basically got the same type of deal for my Base Mustang GT...32K before TTL.

I have not received any other quote....but on another thread I saw someone post about a dealer in Texas, http://www.mcdavidford.com/.

You can see on their website they have listed at least 1 GT Premium for around 32K and 2 Base GT's for around 28K.

Too late for me but perhaps you could use that information to get a good deal local to where you are. Heck...if you do not, maybe call that dealership directly and see if you can strike a deal and get the car shipped to you...Worth a shot....

Impulse Always bad when doing business. :D. You can trade it in but you will take a few grand loss.

Sample size of one. I recently bought a low mileage 2015 GT Premium with 2100 miles for $22.5K. Original MSRP was $40,215. It would depend on the dealer and situation, but I'm guessing there would be a significant hit in trading in your car.
