According to Autoevolution.com Ford "may" be in the works to increase the power of the Voodoo. I knew this would eventually come up somewhere. But didn't think it would become a subject before 99% of us take delivery of our cars!!!

I know but it would be nice to receive our cars before upgrade rumors are flying across the Internet. They can't even release our cars due to glove compartment issues, seat belts, ott stripes etc.

That rumor came from the outline for the new UAW agreement and could just as likely mean changes to make the 5.2 more appropriate for truck use. There has been no direct reference to the GT 350.

I honestly can't see this engine in a truck w/o boost. There's no bottom end torque for towing.

It would never be a truck engine. No low end torque. To high of rpm. Bad mph. Ford is going away from the v8 light truck everyone knows this.

Still. I wanna know a clear answer when I'm getting my car before I hear about voodoo upgrades.

I read that the niche line @ Romeo can only make 48 engines a week. If they keep the builders @ this level the engine will only go in our cars. This is the thinking from the plant info.
I can't wait until Lund gets a few passes @ the 1/4 mile track this week end with a non R car. They already have 38 extra hp with a tune and 85 gas. They also got some more torque in the 2500 to 3500 range. The tuners along with some hot shoes are going to surprise the drag people out there. 11's not far off For the non R car
I'm am personally pleased with what I've seen from R & T for a track car.
This car is truly a masterpiece of engineering and "it's my car and I want it now."

It should only be in our car. They have nothing else to put it in. There is no way ford I'll put a flat crank in a truck

It's all just rumors...

I can see the ads for the 2018 Super Duty 5.2R now:

"Designed to tackle the planet’s most challenging roads – an all-day track truck that’s also street legal."

Where have I heard that before?

Makes you wonder how many niche manufacturers are lined up requesting orders for VooDoos for their performance cars... Remember when Panoz and others were soaking up 4.6L DOHCammers for their builds?
