Didn't have my car one week and had the dealer install the Security pkg...Security package....the alarm on every Mustang (and just about every single new car) is passive, meaning it will go off with ignition play or if you hit the panic button. Security package adds motion sensors in the car (for broken glass, etc.) making it an 'active' alarm. My old job had every employee car hit on the lot unless they were empty inside the car (no wires or change hanging out). Not a single alarm went off. People dont buy new cars without alarms anymore, everyone assumes electric locks and passive systems are alarms but they arent.
OP that is the worst, sorry to hear about that man, pony is a survivor. Youll be back on the road soon
