Needed to go the 40 to keep Circumference the same as OEM, and 30's in the rear was off as well. I needed to keep the TPS on both cars so it was threading the needle on all fronts...

Almost looks like the front has a little more sidewall than the rear. I would have gone 275/35 up front, but other than that looks great!

Factory diameter front(255/40/19) is 27". 275/40/19 is 27.7". A 275/35/19 is 26.6" so the 275/35/19 is actually closer to the factory diameter.

I just calculated your specs and you actually do have a touch more sidewall(about 1/4") on the front tires. Very minor, but somehow my eyes picked up on it and I'm very anal about that sort of thing. Nobody else would probably ever notice...lol

Loving those CF10's, I'm heavily considering a set of those in 20x10 and 20x11 in gloss gunmetal:thumbsup:

I did the same thing on my GTO and my Corvette and was thinking about it on my Mustang. Every time I speak to a wheel dealer they do everything to persuade against it. If you go with a deeper concave wheel on the rear and they are both the same diameter the rear wheel will tend to look smaller. I would like some of the wheel dealers to explain why they try so hard to dissuade from using two different diameter wheels.

PM, Paul he was GREAT to work with and explain a ton of stuff...Forgestar was surprised at first, but after they ran all the calculations they were pleasantly surprised the wheels would go between the S197 and S550 cars...I personally love the staggered look...

This looks fantastic. Forgive the ignorance, but what's the functionality of having wider rims in the rear?

A wider wheel in the back allows for a wider tires, thus providing more contact patch which for a rear wheel drive car is great, more footprint more traction more control, better grip with a good tire as well. On top of that with these wheels you actually shed unsprung weight while going larger and wider so you are able to gain a lot in this specific application to be exact.

I'm sure if you PM Paul, he will spill the beans. Forgestar was sort of shocked someone was still doing an old school set-up...If Paul green lights me I will post specs.
of course brotha I have nothing to hide !

Specs for Fred were

19x9.5 ET 27

20x11 ET 55

Wow this looks great on both cars!
Paul you hit a home run with this setup
Thanks brotha ! :D

If be more then happy to help you out and get you a spot on flush fitment !

I cant speak for anyone else nor will I but, for me I'm always down and willing to get the exact setup my clients want aslong as its nothing insane crazy or dangerous.

So if you want a double staggered I can do that with no hesitation with exact width, offset tire sizes and perfection of course.

Thank you for the education! In this instance are you talking wider as in 18 vs 19 or wider as in say 205 vs 255? I am planning my wheel set up and I just don't know enough about it haha

Your welcome, in this instance I am speaking about both because this application actually works in both ways.

For instance the GT PP setup is

19x9
19x9.5

Weights are 32 and 33 lbs without tires if I am not mistaken.

Now in the case of this setup we did we increased the front width but kept the wheel diameter the same, for the rear we increased the diameter and the width, obviously catering to the client ( my good friends) desires.

Now for this application we were able to achieve a few things.

Increased rear wheel diameter and width

Benefits ( visual appeal for the client 20" diameter) & increased width of the wheel which allows a wider contact patch for more footprint ( traction, handling etc).

benefit ( specific to the wheel itself) we were able to shed weight off on the rims compared to the factory wheels which allowed for a loss of weight which helps with handling, braking and acceleration.

Now in your case it all depends on a few things, what are you after, performance or aesthetics, price point you aim to stay in, possible style your after. These are factors that need to be answered to best help achieve a perfect wheel and tire combination for you.

Beautiful setup! Another idea to add to my wheel dilemma haha.

Btw, the McLaren MP4-12C uses almost the exact same setup, 19x8.5 and 20x11

You sir, are a lucky man. The technology that goes into making the P1 what it is is just simply amazing.

Back to the original topic, would you mind sharing the cost of that setup for the OP's car just so everyone has a rough idea of how much a custom setup like that would cost?

Thanks man.

haha well truth be told as confident as you can be you still have that oh shit im touching a car worth more then my house moment. Then instinct kicks in and the nerd side of me comes out whenw e start working fitment and looks and color combinations.

For pricing I always recommend members to message me with a PM so i can assist and provide pricing. Here is why every setup is unique every client is unique so to best provide a direct one on one that is what I like to do, you can always pm me just for a price to get a idea of a setup you have in mind no need to commit at all. I do that for a lot of members.
