Whipple SC kit with Whipple Billet Throttle Body. Standard Pulley ~12psi boost. Magnaflow Cat-Back, Kooks 1-7/8" Cat'd Headers.

Based on previous dyno results and weather, I expect the car to have been making about 660-680rwhp Dynojet at this time. The car dyno'd just over 700rwhp, but its humid out and I pullied down 1psi for now.

The CEL light is on because of the headers (cat efficiency codes). The TPMS light is on because I dont have the sensors in the new wheels.

I guess I was getting used to the power because I started to feel like it was down on power, so I did some 40-140 pulls with my buddies 630rwhp 350z (not included in the video LOL) and confirmed that it was just in my head.

Ill try and get a video on a cooler night when it pulls a bit harder too... but this is a realistic representation of how it is during average temps and driving conditions.

Any plans to change out gear set? I've been going back and forth on whipple or procharger due to the short gear ratios on the PP.

Not really any plans for that... It would make a good 60' easier to come by... but after that it just slows the car down. I already hate how far out 6th gear is. If I did tons of 1/4 mile racing, I would probably consider it more after having the car at a power level it will remain at for a long time, where I can set it up to not have to shift into 5th in the 1/4. But for now, it would be wasteful I think. We will see if I get frustrated enough with 1st gear to bother. Still have more work to do in the traction department before resorting to lowering my torque output.

Is there a 3.5 that fits the stock torsen? I would maybe consider that... but 3.3 is a long way to go from here.

Wow!! Looks and sounds good. How is it with the 3.73? Do you think with some 3.31s. It would make it better as far as the pull in every gear and acceleration with the supercharger? I am about to order a whipple and have 3.55 but on my car I wish I had some 3.31s better to much shifting.

Thanks.

3.73 is great really... 3.31 will definitely slow the car down quite a bit, but it would make it easier to drive and might save a shift in the 1/4 at the drag strip. But I dont know if even a 3.31 is going to make my car hook up first gear with a 19" drag radial on the street, so its probably not worth sacrificing all the torque multiplication that is usable in the rest of the gears. I would consider a 3.55 but I dont think I would go to 3.31 without another couple hundred HP.

See that's precisely why I concerned about whipple on 3.73's. It's already a traction issue with just bolt ons.

Show me the 700rwhp front engine rwd car with any supercharger that hooks up first gear on the street on 19" street tires :) especially with a IRS. If you want to dead hook first on the street, I think you have your work cut out for you.

Fair enough but one set up will take more work to hook up than another purely based on how power comes on.

Ya, the one that makes more power LOL.

If we raced by gently releasing the clutch and then mashing the throttle to the floor off idle... sure, a PD is going to break the tires loose more. At any engine speed that we actually use when racing, the centris are already well into their torque band and probably make just as much maybe even more as me... who knows, never seen anyone post any dyno graphs of a centri here other than BeefCake with his boost sky high.

When screwing around, Im positive I can break my tires free more with the immediate boost... but when actually racing and trying, I dont know if I think it makes much difference.

Wouldnt it be cool if we could get into our throttle maps and make some changes? On my motorcycle, we can remap the throttle different for each gear. How cool would that be for a car like this? Than you could mellow out your powerband wherever you wanted, and make it way easier to get the most out of your car.

That would be pretty sick. I'm sure the technology is already there.

Hi there

Very impressive, seems you have no traction issues in 2nd/3rd at WOT from watching the video, really impressive. :)

What wheel/tyre/type size you running buddy?

Any chance of say a video in just 3rd say from 40-90mph?

That's only when the tires are brand new. After 200 miles or so there is often no traction until 4th gear. They are 19" nt05r.

I wouldn't floor from 40 in 3rd, 60 is where 3rd starts as far as I'm concerned.
