This may be a silly question, but authorized dealers doesn't necessarily mean that they will install the part, correct? I'm just outside of Pensacola and the only authorized dealer is in Georgia.
They should be able to install the part.

guys, use The Retrofit Source, they're in Atlanta, and can install the headlights for you. Check em out. Do fantastic work.
TRS does not do any labor, and they are not a Diode Dynamics authorized dealer.

Correct, we are working on a new list of "Certified Installers" for products like this. Right now, it's best to shoot us an email and we can direct you to a few installers to get quotes. Thanks!

Bit leery about opening up my own headlights - any chance of a core-swap option where we send you guys our headlights and you send back a pre-installed set?

You can do that with TheLightingFirm. It's not cheap though...

What tools do you recommend to disassemble headlight housing ( heat gun ? temperature ? how long?) and how to seal the headlight after finish ( just re-use stock glue or do i need any after market adhesive ? ) Thanks so much.

I opened mine up Saturday took me 3 hours pretty hard to open them up

This...

I have a spare set of headlights for my 2007 Tacoma that I did a black out treatment on.

Pealing the clear plastic from the housing was a goddamn pain in the ass. Luckily I bought a set of used headlights to do it on. The idea of putting your headlights in an oven to warm them up and soften the sealant is an interesting sensation to swallow while working up the courage.

I was less worried about opening my instrument cluster on the Taco for an LED instrument color change(from red on red to white on blue).

I'm interested too, but DD seems to not reply to EU customers questions..
Front leds would probably be easier than taillights, even if we have to open the lights.
We reply to everyone's questions within 24 hours during the week, regardless of where they come from.

If you have any questions, feel free to shoot us a PM. We are here to help!

Thanks,

My Taco had a tacky sealant that was used. It had a GOOD grip because the damn clear cover sat into a conformed recess that held the lense on both sides.

Sealant could be scraped from one side of the recess and removed but trying to pry it loose was a pain.

Screw drivers with a lot of prying leverage and multiple trips back to the oven to get the sealant warmed up was required.

As for new sealant, I am pretty sure silicone doesnt work to hold the plastic. There was a type of tar or polymer stuff that was recommended but I never managed to find it. My Taco's headlights I did sit "finished" as far as spray paint is concerned but I never fully resealed the covers to the main enclosure. I changed my mind in the mods I wanted to do.

Not sure what you're referring to by 'labor', you're saying if I brought these gills to TRS (meaning I purchase them directly from you guys)

they wouldn't install them?

Because that's untrue to say the least. Not sure what someone's supposed to do when they don't have any dealers local to them aside from have the work done at a shop dedicated to these types of jobs (such as TRS)

They are not an authorized dealer, please read our warranty section for more information:

http://www.diodedynamics.com/store/warranty-info

We have professional installers in Georgia, who have installed the 2015+ Mustang boards. Our dealer locator tool is being updated with new authorized installers on a daily basis. If you need a referral, please give us a call: (314) 205-3033

If you're interested in opening up your headlights, check out the forum site hidplanet.com. They are an excellent source for headlight upgrade questions, including what's involved with opening up your lights. I did a HID retrofit on my '06 Mountaineer, and the advice I got from the community was awesome. And yes, I did "bake" my existing headlight housings to get them open.

In the video they mention "LED switchback turn signal bulbs" have already been installed. I didn't see these listed for 2015 Mustang on your site. I think I need some badly.

Thanks Nick, other than questions Waldo Jeffers asked some time ago, I'd like to know if we europeans can use these multicolors led boards in our headlights without other mod. I know that we should get power from some other wires because we haven't the regulard led drl (and our drls power off when lights are on), but do our lights have all the parts inside?
I'm referring to the white diffuser in particular.. is that the same as US version and we could mount these boards without problems?

I can fond someone who can open my headlights but I want to be sure that then I can install the led boards!

P.s. I'm writing here instead of PMing you because I'm sure other EU guys are interested in this.. sequential amber at the front is really impressive!!

Unfortunately we don't have access to EU Mustangs, so we can't confirm that the internal components or design of the headlight will be the same.

With that being said, I don't foresee any reason why our RGBW or RGBWA replacement boards wouldn't be compatible with the EU headlight housings.

They can be wired up a variety of ways, but to achieve the sequential function you will have to tap into the factory turn signal locations.
