Caught the tail end of this event driving through the "restaurant row" area late Saturday afternoon. Where is the official spot for this event?

It was at the Gas Monkey Live concert venue. It's next to the Gas Monkey Bar and Grill.

There were several threads posted here on the Texas and DFW subforums. Proceeds from the event benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

The event sponsors are now planning a two-day event for roughly the same time frame next year.

The next event will NOT be at the Gas Monkey facilities due to some communication issues that resulted in the venue locking us out three hours early. One potential location for TMI 2016 is Lone Star Park, and the event organizers are looking to add a little more interaction with a portable dyno. Others have suggested holding the event at one of the many race tracks in Texas, along with adding a burnout competition, autocross, drags, or track time. However, those venues are much more expensive, and the activities would require a hefty insurance policy.
