I have a chance to pick up a set of Forgestar CF5V wheels for a great price.

They are gunmetal, so I'm a little concerned how they will look on my Ingot silver Ecoboost. (They look awesome on my friend's black GT!)

I was thinking that if I don't love the color once they're fitted, I might take them off and powder coat them either glossy black or matte black.

What do you guys think? Which would look best?

Thanks everybody!

Caustin,
Gunmetal on ingot!
Exactly what I was hoping to see!

Any more pics?

I'm already locked into buying the wheels, just not sure if I wanted to powder coat them before fitting them. After seeing this, gunmetal may be the way to go!

Gunmetal on Ingot is a fantastic color combo. Not a s550 but you get the idea:

Its a clean simple color combination that is not to overall colorful nor is it bland.

It gives a good light dark combo !

Gunmetal is much better than either glossy black or matte black. DO not powder coat them.
