Jason's car. I saw he posted up on facebook that he removed front and back seats, and some other things.

I had a lot going on this weekend or I would of been out there. However I still had time to set another full weight stock turbo record, unfortunately it wasn't in BG.

No idea how they had the bracket setup but 1-2 should never happen until the final round; Jason ran Brad in the semi final while UPR got the bye, Jason gave it all he could but he was outgunned 12.1 vs 11.4; final was UPR vs Brad, UPR won with a 12.0...really wanted to see Jason vs UPR as they were 11.9/12.0 all weekend.

Livernois was there with their car but it was a trailer queen, have to see the irony in a EBM having "tuning" issues...when Livernois tunes cars...lol.....so you sponsor a class, have you car there, are a tuner but don't run your car due to tuning issues...yeah....

Real racing is about running as fast as you can with whatever tricks you can use to get you there; not like we did something new, weight reduction has been going on since drag racing began. If you travel XX amount of miles why would you not do everything you could do run as fast as you could? At the end of the day ET/MPH is what everyone will remember/talk about, not "did it have the passenger seat in it"....

And FWIW...his 11.92 pass was done with pass/rear seat in the car......

I can agree with that, but it goes directly against what Jason said he would do. He talked so much about how stripping the interior was the dumbest thing on the earth. People will talk about "advantages/disadvantages" all day, so when a car with built motor, cams, race gas, slicks and skinnies, and stripped interior eventually goes faster than a full weight car car with just intercooler/tune. People are definitely going to be comparing, you know that 100%.

Me, I 100% honestly and truthfully am just happy that Jason finally hit an 11 second pass. It's unfortunate he had to go through so much trouble to get there, but he did it and he deserves it for being so persistent.

I lost to Putnam, then it was Putnam v Justi.

Winner (Putnam) v Gusler.

Gusler broke, Putnam ran well.

Done.

Overall, a great showing...great folks...crappy weather and a lot of waiting around.

^^ I don't understand why 1-2 would ever happen before the final round, thought it was always the fastest vs slowest to get the two fastest guys at the end but I maybe wrong.

I did not know he said that; it just gets old when people put stipulations on "records", if people tried hard enough they could have their car be the fastest "intake only, white, automatic, 93 pump gas, stock tire, stock interior", blah blah blah car in the world and that is not directed at you, I understand every shop/tuner wants to have those things to brag about but at the end of the day it gets old...

And though you and I have our differences I have always given you credit about you having fast cars and not blowing an engine, I have said that to whoever I have talked to about the EBM.

I completely agree. He had everything out and the exhaust off and that's exactly what he was entitled to do. Putnam had his exhaust off, Brad's is certainly not a 'tailpipe' car. I would have done so as well had it not been hammered on to where I doubted we'd get it back on for the 800 mile drive home.

We drove ours there....it saw its first track time...drove it home. Trapped 116 a couple of times at full weight. Couldn't 60 for ^%#. All in all, a great event.

Don't let any petty BS get in the way of a door being opened for a whole new group of cars and enthusiasts.
