Do you still have the photos of your procedure?I downloaded Google photos Day before yesterday. I'm not sure what the F is going on??
If you do it, tape the snap on prongs on the side, just go all the way around (With tape) in a circle...look real close at the 1st,3rd & 4th picture's to see what I mean-->:cheers:Oh wow that looks great!
Thanks for uploading the photos.
Not sure what ya mean about the door? Is it the chrome around the windows? It came that way. That' why the die-cast is screwed-up! They were looking at your wheels! Your driver door looks really good Husker, especially at the bottom. Even the Stainless looks longer than normal. Did you do much adjusting, or did the car come that way?
WOW!!...Guess I got Lucky...Hope you get it fixed to your liking-->:cheers:Chrome on the door sill is too short on my car. One side has it aligned with the striker plate end. The other door has it aligned with the mirror end. The bottom front of your door looks flush with the fender. Most cars only look that good on the passenger side. To have the door aligned with the creases and front and rear quarter panels in the driver's side is rare. I've been trying to adjust mine, but ran out of slack in my hinges and will have to make some shims to place under the hinge to post interface. It looks okay from a distance, but up close, there's about a panel thickness inset of the door. Used to be twice that before I adjusted the door to hinge bolts. Will have to take fender off to tighten and torque hinge to post bolts (after installing shim) so right now I enter and exit the passenger side because the door sags and is too heavy for me to open and close from inside, without potentially bending the fender.
The caps I painted red are off Black PP wheels, they fit my LE like they were made for them.Anyone know the exact mustang part number for a new set of center caps - for the 19" LE Wheels ? (I think the same part # would be used accross all wheel sizes) I would paint on set and keep the other set as originals.
De-Blacked PP Wheels.Thanks Husker
I was looking for this as well. Looks great. I wanted to do the same on my black pp wheels. Hope it will look fine, I might go a bit dark red if available in Rust-oleum.
Also, an easier way to remove them without removing the wheels as such -
