I been looking at getting headers but it seems ridiculous to spend close to $2k on them. I have had luck with JBA products in the past on other vehicles and was satisfied with the quality.

I contacted JBA via email and they claim that their headers are available with the x-pipe/h-pipe lead pipes. I checked with a few vendors online and was able to find them in stock. They also mentioned it will bolt up to the stock exhaust system without any cutting or modifications. Anyone have this exact system installed? How was the fitment in general?

I have saw the thread where the guy totally customized his exhaust system to work with the JBA headers. Not really what I'm looking for. I will most likely be going catless and keeping the stock catback system to keep it relatively quite.

for reference here are links to the headers and Xpipes:

I have been looking into this for a while. JBA is located in southern California, and I called regarding install. I was told they sold the shop that made headers a while back, but it was still branded JBA. I trust the name, but I do not want to be the first to experiment with this stuff. I don't have patience.
(BTW, JBA speedshop will not install JBA headers)

That's interesting. Is the "JBA speedshop" the people that used to make the jba headers? Apparently JBA is a brand owned by a company called pertronix which I have never heard of. Maybe that shop sold the JBA brand to pertronix.

If you want to have budget headers that are supposed to have good build quality for the price, why not look at stainless power?

I didn't really know much about these headers. I suppose if I could get them for under $900 shipped I would consider it. Looks like I would spend about $800 shipped for the JBA headers and xpipe. Deff not a bad option. I suppose these or Chinese made as well?

They are made in the US and made by StainlessWorks. Which makes awesome products. The SP is their cheaper line that doesn't come with a lifetime warranty. Ive never heard anyone complain about the SW line of products or their cheaper SP line. If you want a cheaper header, id look no farther.

Yea if they are US made, I'd pay a few bucks extra for them. I'm pretty sure the JBA/BBK ones are not US made. So basically the lifetime warranty is an extra $250 for the same header? Any reports on cracking on these things?

Im not sure, youd need to check around. The SW line is made with a different grade of metal from the impression I got. That could be false. It could just be the warranty difference. Contact Terry at Beefcake

they are price point for sure, but they also require midpipes which you have to buy separately.

For what JBA charges for the mid pipe you are better off going with Stainless power.

Stainless power headers are great. Chinese made, yes, but designed off the USA made stainless works header design. I have them and have 0 fitment issues. They are the most reasonable priced header. Price wise, I paid more to have them installed than I did for the headers. That's saying something .
