Warranty upgrade option

I have been told by my local dealer that the standad warranty is 5 years or 100.000 km, but I can pay for a 5 year or 200.000 km upgrade / option.

Is it the same in other EU countries ?

BTW, I think the guy didnt had any knowledge about the car other than the prices and zero discounts policy.

In Germany, 2 years is standard. Up to 5 years and 100k costs €1210.

Same in NL. Standard 2 years, additional years are extra.

I did get 8% discount though.

Are you absolutely 100% sure this applies to the Mustang? I know it is possible with other Ford cars, but in Czech I have been told that it's not possible for the Mustang. So is my dealer wrong again?

100% sure in Sweden. 2 year is standard 5 year cost € 750. Next year 5 years will be standard.

Have a look online. In Germany Ford has made it all official with prices for every model etc. Here we can buy year 3 and 4 as well.

Thanks guys for all your answers! I have already contacted Ford CZ and tweeted Ford EU why they do not trust the car enough to offer a 5 year warranty.

Yes, and that price is only valid if you take it when you buy the car. If you do it later, price is 750€.

There is also a second option 5 years or 200.000km. It costs 800€ if i remember correctly.

I never get additional warranty because then they will always found some reason to not obey to that.

For the same thing:
500 in Spain
750 in Sweden
1210 in Germany

Is this some kind of lottery? Does they throw random numbers?
And now it is not a matter of country taxes etc....
It is clearly Ford's issue.

Did you search the site?
If you search the official Ford site there is page with a price list of Ford Protect (extension warranty) for all models.
