That is pretty impressive and in a manual. Care to share your launching technique? Congrats on the new PB.

Well if the track is prepped pretty good i hold at 1500 rpms and then just leave like im at a stoplight, slipping the clutch a little. As soon as i feel the tires hook i put it to the floor,it happens very fast.Practice practice, ive been drag racing and street racing since i was 18 and am 48 now lol.First time on this track and it was prepped very well and a nice track.

Do you have suspension/bushing work done? How do you keep it from wheel hopping? I have not taken mine to the track YET but will be shortly. I have read all the posts about the wheel hop with the M6 cars and I am curious if you had problems with it.

No ,no suspension work yet,the trick is to launch and try to keep the tires hooked,if u leave to hard u will wheelhop,i have had wheelhop before but i just let out.Best for u would be to get some drag radials and practice with them.If u plan on going deep in the 12,s u will need them.I think thats about as fast as i can go without drag radials unless i get lucky on a cool night, cooler it is then the harder it is to get ur tires hooke up.

No not yet i went to mason dixon, because my car club was holding a car show.I put my car I n the show to,so i didnt want to have to keep changing the rear wheels between running the track and showing my car.Plus it was an 1.5 drive for us and i didnt want to drive that far on those tires.Capitol is only 15 minutes away,so next cool day im putting them on and hopefully get another pb.I will have to shift into 5th with them though because of the diameter difference, but hopefully they give me a good 60ft.

I don't exactly have a home track but yeah I wish I could have made it. Was super busy all weekend, still hoping to make the September track meet at Mason Dixon with the Northern VA Mustang Club.

Tommy that is a great time. Did you power shift 2nd? I was having a real hard time getting my car to hook when going to second on street tires without power shifting. Did you buy axles or are you taking your chances on the axles?
