My whole issue is I want the wider tire to get he grip that accompanies it, and I want to be able to rotate the tires as well. And if 285 is all I can go on 20's than that's what it's going to have to be unless I get gt350 fenders when they are available, and I'm sure those are going to be astronomical in price.

And the wheels I want are readily available and I'm suprised I haven't seen them on anyone's car yet. they are just the downforce wheels 20x10 that you can get from LMR.

At this point I'm chomping at the bit for Koni to release their shocks so I can have ground control prototype me some coilovers sleeves.

Are you a PP GT or non-PP GT? I ask this because I know that if you don't run a spacer on the front with the Downforce DF5's(5-spoke) and are non-PP, it will more than likely hit the caliper. And even if your a PP, you need a spacer on the front to clear the dust caps. This is if you are talking about the DF5's.

I am running a 285/35-20 on the front of my car. I never hit at stock height but after lowering the front would just touch on the inside of the fender when hitting a bump. I rolled out the front fenders and they clear fine now.

a tad of negative camber would have helped as well.

looked good !

I run 295/30/20 Pirelli on 20x10 +40 w/5mm spacer up front lowered on Steeda progressive springs and run 305/30/20 on back same wheel. I recommend no wider than 295/30. They sit flush but 305s have slight bulge.
very nice, ya by decreasing the profile your capable to put in a wider tire to a limit.

Appreciate the photo man !

Thing to keep in mind on front wheel fitment is to run a MAX backspacing of 6.625". That is the most you can run or you will run into a strut body, if using factory struts or factory upgrade from FRPP. And you can run a max wheel width of 10.5" Anything that fits both of those criteria should work. The 285 should work fine. 295 I show should work very well with a 10" +35 offset

That's a 6.378 back spacing and less than 10", so should work fine. 295 is going to a bit floppy on a 10" wheel. Would stick with 285 like suggested above.

The 20x10 +40 (with a 5 spacer) is the same as a +35 effectively.

I'm on a 285 with a 20x10 up front and while it's super close, I haven't had any issues so far. I'm running -1.2 to -1.4 degrees of camber up front.
How close is "super close"? Opinions vary, and what's "super close" to some people might not be seen that way by others.
