This post makes me LOL. Especially the part in bold. APPEAL. Also "the stupid rebates Ford did"? WTF is that garbage. The Camaro is the BETTER car? That is not accurate. Just like I cannot say the Mustang is the BETTER car.

That guy is a tool. He's another who seems to have been bamboozled by GM's claim that the 2016 1SS is faster around the track, in base form, than a 2015 SS with the 1LE package. I can't wait until the truth comes out about that claim so we can see this guy and others eat crow!

1LT comes with the 4 cylinder standard. Not sure what it costs to get the v6 which would be more comparable to the ecoboost? Probably another 2k. That would put a base v6 at nearly 29K. You could get a pp ecoboost for around that. Or a couple more grand get a premium ecoboost. I think these car manufacturers are smoking crack or the people buying them at least. The prices are escalating way too fast. I don't know about you guys but my salary isn't increasing 5-10% every year.

Exactly. Those that are not brand loyal or enthusiast (i.e. majority of buyers) look at price 1st, looks 2nd, and horsepower 3rd. IMO, the 20 hp gap is too little to make up the price difference for these buyers. GM is going to have to give away super-sized rebates once the newness wears off the 6g to compete with a 30k (x-plan + rebates) base GT.
The gap is closer to 7k right now considering how easy x-plan is to get. Throw in a $500 or $750 rebate and you're a little over 30k for a base no-options GT. I don't expect GM to give out rebates right out of the gate for the 6g and don't think it's as easy to get their equivalent x-plan price.

I have to try real hard to notice the difference between the 5 and 6G Camaros. The tapered front does look better though. Definitely evolutionary.
