I have a 2015 GT with a Ford Racing/Roush 627 kit on it with flowmaster x pipe and American Thunder axle backs and JMS Pedalmax this is the 1st car I've owned with a supercharger is their any do's and dont's with a supercharged car other than hold it WFO and hang on lol??

What's up with that? Always see people with PDs doing that at the track.

The cold can cause case to shrink unevenly and not at same rate as rotors resulting in possible contact between rotor and case.

I'm going to rant here........

If you get an aftermarket tune/upgrade then buyer beware since it might not pass emissions (I'm talking about OBDII check only). Everyone will tell you passing emissions is all in the tune. I asked in a thread if anyone with "tuner stuff" passed emissions. Nobody responded. If you call the tuners, they will never make any guarantees and most cannot tell you it will pass or not. I failed emissions with just a tune an intake before. When contacting the tuner, they said that shouldn't have happened but couldn't do anything for me. Do a Google search and you will find others that had the same problem.

What I have come to understand is that the ECU has readiness monitors. These monitors need to be on and able to run diagnostic tests on the emissions stuff. The monitors do far more than just a simple check to see if the o2 sensors are on. When you get a tune, the testing procedures completed by the monitors no longer work correctly. This makes the car fail emissions testing for not being ready. Can't pass emissions, can't drive the car on the street.

Furthermore, some aftermarket tuners will tell you they don't mess with the emissions stuff, or that if you still have the cats you are all set. If they are touching the tune, they are effecting rediness monitors and therefore emissions stuff.

All the above has been a real disappointment to me since there is so much awesome tuner stuff out there.

Yeah, we have the same problem here in MA. What a pain in the cock! lol :mad: :frusty:
You can go the Roush route. It's 50 state legal and will pass emissions. I have a 2013 Roush Stage 3 and no problems for the past 2 years with state inspections.

Depends on your state but in MD with OBDII check a simple tune/intake/exhaust won't make you fail. I passed twice with my '11 with those mods installed. You do need your rear O2s on.

Dont run 87 octane through your supercharged engine.
You would be surprised how many people do....

I bet 50% of the cars that come here for BETA testing, have to get the tank drained, because the owners run 87 in them.

You don't. It shouldn't ever see boost on the pcv or the crankcase can't vent.

Simple. You follow the install instructions. To the letter.

If you don't really know what you're doing, you shouldn't be building your own kit.

Couldn't agree more. However I have seen it a lot over the years. Do not hook anything from the crankcase behind the blower.
