I finally got a Mustang! I spent a lot more than I intended to, but the GT's around here were disappearing fast, and I had to make my move for a Shaker and a 3.55 axle. The black + red seats set the hook, and after the usual several hours of paperwork, The Shark and I were on our way home, and for some reason it was a 75 mile drive back, instead of the usual 15 miles. Hmmm. Well, it's nice to meet you folks!

Thanks,
Paul

There's just something about pony cars that connect with people. They're the epitome of America. We identify with them and they, identify with us. It truly is iconic America and the vast majority of us just cant get enough. A friend of mine told me my car was a "young person's car." I laughed and replied, no, "it's a me car."

Most of us over the pond about to get our Mustangs are in our 50s. We've waited a long time.

Congratulations :D

(It's pretty difficult for a young 'un to get insurance on big engined cars plus we will have to blow decades of life savings on the fuel costs :D )

Congrats on the new ride. One of the only positive things I can think of about being almost 50 is We're in a little better financial position at this stage of the game and the payment wont break us.

Looks great, congratulations! I'm 52 and my morning coffee run to Dunkin Donuts, which is a quarter mile down the road, seems to put 10 - 15 miles on the odometer somehow. And I leave early for work just so I can drive around before I have to clock in...lol. These cars are great! :ford:

I got my driver Mustang at 35. It was a total rehab project. It took me 16 years to finally get it on the road. My first driver was at 40. It was a '95GT convertible. I had to wait until the kids were old enough to not need the minivan anymore. (Got 4 of 'em) Wife pitched a fit since the oldest was about a year away from driving and I think we only had to swap cars twice in a 2 year period.
I'm 52 now, and loving the '15!
