Out of curiosity, cuz I'm new to the Mustang scene, how likely is Ford to raise the price on the wheel knowing it's in demand or just in short supply? Have they done this in the past with other in demand OEM parts?
Ford probably won't but the dealers will. Just normal response to the law of supply and demand.

I just ordered one at my work, the wheels are supposed to be released on the 14th, I should see mine by the 21st according to our parts guy.

I'll also see if it will work with the paddles.

Doesn't the horn button have to be removed first, or is it the same piece as the airbag in your instructions below?

A DIY is NOT needed.

But for those that need their hands held...

1.) Disconnect battery.
2.) Locate 2 holes on the side of the steering wheel behind the airbag.
3.) Insert small metal object (such as a hex key) into holes to remove airbag.
4.) Unplug the airbag wires.
5.) Unplug main steering wheel harness from clockspring.
6.) Unbolt steering wheel.
7.) Remove every screw you see and out comes the buttons and trim.
8.) Reverse these instructions to reinstall.

The horn button is integrated with the airbag.

I may be able to test it out.

I have an auto and manual but was planning to use the wheel on the manual.

The manual car is still at on3 so I will ask my Ford tech to see if it will work on the auto.
I am not sure I want to install it on the auto since that is a premium with Recaro leather and not sure if it will match(The manual is a non Recaro base).

I may go ahead though and do it IF it will work ONLY if I am sure I will be able to get another one for the manual car.

I also contacted" Mustang guy" about "beefing" it up before install.
The amount he quoted is a little more than I am willing to spend in addition to the cost of the wheel.

I had thought of sending him the stock wheel (off the manual car) to "beef up" after I swapped the GT 350 wheel and then installing that on the auto car.

That way I am only paying for the cost of the upgrade. I may then be able to sell(or give) him the spare wheel I end up with ,for him to use a core so he can have one available for anyone to buy with a core charge until they send back theirs.
How much did he quote you..if you don't mind sharing.
