Disconnect the battery when you make the change over when you hook the battery back up you won't be in front of the airbag if you screwed up which you probably won't.

That is my understanding. We say a GT350R on the track today and it had the red centering stripe up top.So am I correct in assuming the GT350 wheel as shown above, will actually look different if it's from a gt350r?
won't the GT350R actually have a RED stripe instead of a black one?
I'm pretty sure you'll need a VIN for the "R" wheelMight have to cancel my order and wait for a red unit then.
Not only that, but the "R" version has leather at the top portion of the wheel as well. Alcatara only at the side portion of the wheel. I think i'll wait and see if we'll be able to order the R version as well.So am I correct in assuming the GT350 wheel as shown above, will actually look different if it's from a gt350r?

Very comfortable.so smdandb2,
how is the wheel? comfortable?
I'm thinking that as well! My only hope is that Ford doesn't require a vin from a 350 in order to purchase the wheel...
It really depends on just how exclusive the 350R is.you could just put a random GT350 or GT350R VIN in that you could easily find off of a car sale website or the like....idk if they would ask any further questions.
That's where I ordered mine from.I was made aware of another company that is selling these.
They are also backorderd but was informed that all orders placed today will be protected with current pricing. Since tomorrow is a new month, and Ford has seen the fenzy on this wheel, there may be a good chance the price for August may be adjusted higher.
Either case:
