Man, that is a lot of white cars! I expected a lot of them, but not the clear majority. Also strange how the lighter colors (white and avalanche) have a huge favor with the track pack cars
My assumption would be that some people will be on a track in conditions where the cars could get bumped around and they want white to hide the body damage better.... or they just like white. Maybe the collectors think that white is a good color to have.

I always heard "90 day white" - meaning it takes a long time to sell a white car.

Probably the last 2 reasons. I don't see anyone racing these cars in competition and especially not rubbing with other cars.

Interesting - I've never heard that. If you look at annual car sales, white is often No. 1 - or at least in the Top 3, along with black and silver. I love the way a perfectly detailed black car looks, but have only owned one because it was so hard to keep looking clean. I really like white cars, too, but they really show rail dust (tiny little black spots that turn orangish when they rust) and other pollutants, so claying is necessary way too often. For a daily driver, silver is best because it hides dirt so well, and that probably would have been the choice for my GT350 if it were available.

For the GT350s ordered so far, I think Avalanche Gray is popular because it's new and different, and Oxford White is popular because well, it's white - and also is closest to the traditional color for Shelby Mustangs.

All the collectors want white with blue stripes. In 65 it was Wimbledon white and guardsman blue stripes.

We need more numbers! Not enough right now to be statistically significant But either way, I dont think they are going to build 50 cars between 7/20 and 7/22
They will build about 1000 cars between 7/20 and 7/22

A couple of other things...

I ran Shelby_r's VIN through the system (119), since the sticker is posted elsewhere, and exactly the same thing came up. I also tried both QR codes on several of the stickers. The smaller one at the top for the EPA is a dead link, but the larger bottom now will take you to a page showing the VIN, gas mileage and a picture of the car in the right color - although for now it looks like it's a base 5.0 GT. :headbang:

krt22, I'm going to leave it to you to run all the stickers and compare them to the build dates. Then we'll know about the sequencing for sure.
Spa2K - my car is on that list - and it's legit (at least for me) Avalanche, Black roof and stripes w/track pack.

That would be one to have. It's sold to someone, correct? Take some photos when that baby gets in!

Yeah, my last couple used pickups have been white - ex fleet vehicles. It's nice because an older pickup with 240,000+ miles on it that has been used hard often has battle damage. White shows panel gaps but hides the lines of the car and hides dents well also. The '99 F250 I have right now has been hit on every corner as well as the roof.

It would have been nice if they offered the 2015 GT350 in that same combo since they did Wimbledon on the 50th.

I'm in the Seattle-Tacoma area. We're very excited to have been chosen for a '15 R. The Pacific NW is often forgotten about, but there are some serious car collectors up here, and #37 is going to a very well known Shelby collector up here.
