Is it a secret, invite only? Not even on their web-site. Or are they taking a leaf out of Ford's communications handbook..................................... :ford:

I'll be at Modurstang..............Mike's been running the event for about 4 years now, but this will be my first (always holidays or another commitment has meant I couldn't attend). Usually a good turnout. There's a free BBQ and a band playing from midday.........and a photoshoot opportunity with a "Daisy Duke" model. The plan this year will be to park up in a huge horseshoe shape in the field next to his workshop :)

Yea it was a great event, think I heard there were about 60 stangs there...a good mix too! Good atmosphere, bbq, live band, beer, sun = happy day! Got a few pics too...
I kinda fell in love with this red 65 fastback, truth be told - I would probably swap it in a heartbeat for mine

Pity I didn't know what you looked like, Kristian, as it would have been good to have had a chat..........we were close........very close.........that's me in the background with my back to the camera, my boy in the cap and my wife in the red top

The '65 Fastback belongs to a great fella called Gordon who lives not far from me in Newbury and is a regular at our meets. In fact, we cruised up to Modurstang together. It's not the most mint Mustang, but I love the original patina. He doesn't hang about in it, either! :eyebulge:

back to the thread topic...is there any merit in organising this meet, something in the new year perhaps? guessing most people (from the first 1200) will have theirs by the end of this year so could do something jan/feb?
Would be worth getting a date/location in the diary now otherwise we won't do it!
Or we can just wait till the summer :)

I propose somewhere central, looks like there are some good roads in the peak district ;) maybe do a bit of a "cars & coffee" thing like they do over in the states, then go for a drive & meet up again somewhere later in the day?

The question is, do we wan't one big meet or smaller, local ones? Local may be better if it's middle of winter I guess...

Good idea, OK Diner is always a good bet :)
Hey, this is a North East car meet. McDonalds or Greggs needs to be involved in some way!

But in all seriousness, it'd be nice to get a good Mustang meet going that is more local. Finding a car meet in Sunderland/Newcastle/Gateshead that isn't full of Corsas with three wings on the back is difficult

Moderstang looks awesome though, its just making sure my SatNav doesn't screw me over like it did in Pittsburgh three days ago.

"I376 West" it tells me as it sent me the wrong way down Liberty Avenue for the second time.
