Just finished installing my stock mufflers and so much happier with the sound. No more drone! Not sure if it's just me but I actually felt like it had a little more power with the stock mufflers than when it was straight piped. Definitely sounds better now, I guess I'll keep it this way for now. No real Hp gains going straight pipe anyways.;)
That's the same thing I did and it's also perfect for me also....I did the x pipe and factory mufflers. Sounds a little louder than stock and perfect for my taste. Mufflers offer generally 0 HP. With future long tubes I expect an ever better medium tone. Loving it right now.

My passenger side at the front of the x pipe nearest the engine is slightly lower than my drivers side as well but like 1/4" tops. My tips still line up perfectly though so it doesn't bother me. Make sure the clamps are tight, and then tighten them some more lol.So i just installed my x pipe today, fun experience with jack stands. That stock exhaust system is pretty damn heavy. So i went with the aluminized x pipe from cj pony parts however the only thing i'm concerned about is that the passenger side of the x pipe dips down a little. i'm not sure if that's normal or not but i in the cj pony parts video, it does appear that the passenger side of the x pipe is also exhibiting the same thing.
however once they have the car on the ground, the video is recorded at such an angle to where you can't see it.
just curious as to whether or not anyone else experienced this as well.
thanks,
brant
Mine may be about that. Fully tightened it down. My only issue is that my passenger side exhaust tip sticks out probably 1/2"-1" further then my driver side. I was trying to get the passenger side muffler connection further into the x pipe however due to the slight angle in pipe on the factory muffler (which some resonator deletes account for), the cj x pipe I got doesn't have the bend. So I'm wondering if I should cut the passenger side pipe down a little more so I could have the muffler swatted further up. When bolting the hanger back on I did have to force it forward as it naturally wanted to stay back further. My only worry would be cutting off too much and having it be too short to connect..My passenger side at the front of the x pipe nearest the engine is slightly lower than my drivers side as well but like 1/4" tops.
