They are brutes, yes.. they do put in work on handling too though. My 12' with Perf. Pack was no slouch in the twisties... Of course, I preferred the straight line stuff anyway. But yes, the Boss is tailored for the road course stuff.

Personally, I am not inclined to make a vehicle purchase based on potential resale. I want it to drive the crap out of it and enjoy.
I totally get that, but sounds like either car would accomplish that feat. I have absolutely zero complaints with the B302... Ans I love my Shelby too man.

I would buy a 2015 GT with the PP before buying a B302. The new GT performs better at less cost. I do think many people will keep their B302s but I think many others are going to sell or trade theirs in because the GT350 will be such a much better performer. People who like to go to track events will be wasting their time bringing a B302 to try and compete vs GT350s. It will not even be fair.

Of course there's no comparison btw the B302 and the GT350. They're night n day apart. For its day though, the B302 was a screamer and I prefer its ergonomics to the 2015 GT.

The 350 is a whole different ball game. I hope to be able to track both cars and have fun with them both.

What do you like about the B302 Ergonomics over the '15 GT?

Hey, all.

Way back in post #82 of this thread, I shared my dealer asking for an ADM of $33.5k.

Well, shockingly enough, today I got a call and was to the deal had 'gone sideways' and offering me my original spot back at an ADM of $7.5k.

Sounds like the market is changing rapidly in light of the 5 year production announcement.

I would also like to know when/where this was announced.

So are you going to take him up in his offer of $7500 over MSRP and is this for a 2015 or 2016 and a regular GT350 or an "R" model?

Good luck and let us know how you make out?

:)

This is type of reprehensible behavior that has given the retail car industry its foul stereotype.

I would love to hear the rationalization of this type of avaricious marketing from the principals of that retailer. Nothing more than rip off nonsense from a bunch of grease balls. You will be well advised to steer clear of these morons as they obviously have no conception of business ethics and will likely bend you over in some fashion at some point if you elected to do business with them.

I certainly agree with your assessment on how a dealership can come up with this type of original pricing and then reduce it to this level?

Certainly a lot of explaining to do here unless someone was originally missed informed?

I am also waiting to hear about the announcement that supposedly came out regarding the 5 year run of these vehicles?

When a 2011-2012 GT500 can be had for that price range... B302 loses, all day. Bad buy passing up a Shelby for those.
When the '13 GT500 came out the '11-'12's tanked in value. Those cars will be a good option for those who want a '13-14 but can't swing the cost.

I just picked up a '13 B302 LS in SBY. 1,200 miles on it as it sits. It's in perfect shape. They made 249 LS cars in this color. Imo out of all the S197's, the B302/LS cars and the '13-'14 GT500's are and will continue to be the most sought after. There may be a dip in their value when the GT350 comes out but I feel that they will recover quickly. Values for the Boss cars are a bit stronger now then they were a year ago. Since 1970, we had to wait 42 years for Ford to produce a Boss car. Will they ever make them again?

Value is a subjective thing. Sure the new S550 may have marginally better numbers (for a few laps) than the B302 but the Road Runner engine is one of the best engines Ford has ever made. It's also stronger with its forged internals than the Coyote in the GT. The '12-'13 B302 is a better track car than any other street legal Mustang ever made to date. It will fare better than a S550 GT over the course of a day at the track. Compared to a Shelby, a heat soaked GT500 will be begging for mercy after a half session, and the front brakes cooked from the front end weight. That car is made for the strip. The Boss is an all around better car and performs better in every way sans straight line speed. If qtr times and straight line acceleration is all that someone cares about, and they're willing to give up everything else to attain it, then the GT500's are better cars for them.

Quite honestly, all you really need to know is that there will be enough Mustangs of any type, trim level, or price to go around as is ALWAYS the case. Unlikely that this GT350 will run for 5 years as it will be a very, very, tough sell in the presence of the next GT500 that is certain to be the block buster Mustang of all time.

It depends on what the discipline of that car will be. If it's the next straight line beast ala '13-'14 GT500's then the resale of the GT350 will be strong. If it does EVERYTHING better than the GT350 then the GT350's will tank in value like the '11-'12 GT500's.

I see you have changed your story line now.
