Granted the full PP was never promised, but the dealers I have spoken to and one of which I have ordered from are stating we are getting the PP minus the centre gages as standard. He even had to look up on the Ford Website whilst I was in the dealership signing the paperwork to verify I was getting the 3.55 gearing. My point is why is the 3.73 not available as an option?? Torsion Diff not available as an option??

I did qualify that I didn't know what the US spec PP cars have as their rear brakes.

As to Recaro's and air bags. There would be side airbags in the seats no matter what side they are on. Right seat will have a Right air bag, Left seat will have a Left airbag. It is only the adjustability of the seats provided for driver and passenger that would be different.

End of qualified rant
That's better, thanks for qualified rant haha

We've known for a long time RHD models will all be similar and limited in variations/options to keep the costs down, but Ford have on the whole managed to option up a reasonably specced car for the price.

I understand the airbag/seat adjustability issue, wasn't going into it in detail. Ford obviously thought the changes were not worth the capital, and excluded the change, much like the center console swap.

Don't get me wrong, i'd like some more clarity on other options and bits and pieces, but the Stang has been USDM only for so long, so we were always going to get a watered down set of options.

I'm confused why the UK seemingly get more options than Oz though, such as different interior leather colours, a 'Custom pack' of sorts etc

That full brochure can't come soon enough, dealers have been useless with info

+1 on that.

It's mainly just a business decision. Price it lower so it's more accessible but remove certain key items. As opposed to pricing it higher just to cater to a smaller percentage of enthusiasts and miss out on more sales.

Don't get me wrong. I'm agreeing with you. I'd gladly pay 20k more and get a more better equipped car. But it's just a smart move for them with the pricing point.

We can always just add the extras. I know I'm going to :headbang:

Strongly agreed. Those things should come standard. Would cost them peanuts for sensors.

Also, if anyone wants to dress up their interior, look up JLT hydrocarbon. Found it yesterday. They have the centre console (cup holder area), window button and door lock area. Sent an inquiry about the air-conditioner "silver" dash thingo. They said they can possibly sort that too.

Ps: ordering the MGW next week. Pm me if you want one.

Having seen the real thing ( centre console) it is not that bad, but I have been thinking about getting a new oem one from the states and getting a trimmer to throw some leather or vinyl on it to get rid of the hard surface...the hydro dip looks good, but I dont know much about it's longevity.....they do clear coat it but it is in an area that can be prone to scuffing and scratches and may look a bit average after a while. ...quite happy to be proven wrong.

I agree 100% & having a great entry price helps make an easy decision to purchase. My biggest desire is that we get the Recaro seats, but there seems to be some difference in opinion as to what seats we are getting

Has MGW upgraded their shifter to include the reverse lock out yet? Thats the main reason I will be going with Barton. My mods list is already up to 7,000 by the time we factor in shipping and potential GST :headbonk:

Still the push down reverse at the moment afaik. Which is what I want anyway :D

Man you're doing well! My list is up to 10-11k pre tax lol :headbonk:

I'm sure they'll be fine. Depends on the individual I'd say more than anything. My 7 year old evo still has a showroom condition dash :D

I'm not going with the headers option as I might have to change that later. I am doing all the supporting mods now that wouldn't need to be changed if I put two snails at the front of the engine bay in a couple of years.

It makes me happy to know someone's planning a TT V8 GT build in Oz, sensational :headbang:

Yeah good idea. That's exactly what I'm doing. I mean, there's always a small chance I *may* supercharge :)

Clutch, carbon drive shaft etc. Will add the axles if I SC.

Just deciding between Corsa catback or a full ARH set up...

The plan is there, probably 1.5-2 years away, I will probably sit at 750hp then look at driveshaft, axles and clutch if I want more psi. One of the main reasons I am waiting is because I doubt anyone would insure a 24 year old with a 750+hp modified car
