so my EDD is 5-22. but i recently developed sciatica and i can't sit for more than 15 min or the pain in my left butt and leg becomes unbearable. it's a circus show trying to get out of the car in pain.
i stand all day at work now.

i was hoping the condition would go away after a few weeks but it's been a few months. last saturday i was in bed the whole day and couldnt even stand.

yes, i've been seeing doctors and undergoing treatment.

talk about bad timing! :frusty::frusty::frusty:

I understand your pain. Been there contemplated surgery but exercised, therapy, ice packs..............finally after a few weeks it seemed to do the trick.

Have a friend that had acupuncture for it and he swears by it. Said after the 1st session the pain went to manageable, and by the 3rd he was pain free.

Good luck, I feel for ya.

I can relate as well. Mine became very bad in February with pain down to my Achilles, but we still made the trip to the Chicago Auto Show to see the GT and GT350. It was a 4 hour drive and it took a while to walk right again. I didn't get to sit in as many cars due to pain and how hard it is to get out of sports cars, but it was totally worth it to see those cars.

For me it ended up being a herniated disk that was pretty destroyed. I just had surgery after 2 months of failed PT. I can't wait to start test driving and finally get my s550. Hang in there!

I had the surgery back on July 14, 1994. It took a long while with therapy and pain meds, but after about 10 months I was pain free for the most part. Just had little flare ups occasionally for a few years. But for the last 13 years, it is completely pain free unless I do something stupid.

Have you tried to see if your hips are out of alignment?

Sit on the edge of a hard surface (like your bed) and have one leg touching the ground and take the other leg and cross it over with your ankle pretty much over your other knee.

If the crossed leg at the knee is pointing up at any angle (should be pretty much parrallal to the floor), it means your hips are out of alignment and could be causing your sciatica.

You can get them in by pushing down on that leg that is sticking up and holding it in place. It definitely helps. My friend has minor sciatica and I told him about this and it seems to work for him.

You may want to try Lyrica. It's normally used for diabetic nerve pain but my back Dr. prescribed it for me for my sciatica (2 herniated discs in lower back). It really helps.

I suffered an injury in Iraq '07 to my lower back (after-action). I developed chronic Sciatia and Stenosis due to the L5-S1 disc.

First, an MRI to determine the level of disc involvement. It could be just a strained ass muscle that has pinched the nerve. Therapy, careful with the drugs and you will be good in a few weeks/months.

Worst case, PM me about this horrible path if that seems likely to be the case. The condition is degenerative so, it just gets worse. I had already been injured in Iraq a few months prior. An assault to my right shoulder... both cost me my career and livelihood 5 years later. Continues to this day... Hopefully the onset wasn't from acute trauma.

Keep in touch...

Edit: My initial injury caused me ass/leg pain for nearly 12 months. Don't skimp on therapy and don't stay immobile for too long.
