Only thing sport mode does is steering control. How is the "toggle" sport mode different from a base w Performance Pack sports mode? Doesn't it just alter steering feel and throttle response?
He's talking about a local meet up. :doh:I dont think it has it at all. That's the problem.
I think you're a bit confused. There are separate sets of toggle switches to change steering feel and drive modes. Base model cars get the steering feel modes. How is the "toggle" sport mode different from a base w Performance Pack sports mode? Doesn't it just alter steering feel and throttle response?
No, I'm not confused- what I'm saying is I have a base w Performance Package, when you apply the brakes and tap traction control twice- Advancetrac Sport Mode is activated; my question is how is that different from the "toggle" sport modeI think you're a bit confused. Sport drive mode does not effect steering feel. Sport mode on a premium changes shifting patterns, stability control and throttle response. And it makes a big difference in driving experience
Sport mode on a base just changes stability control
Oh ok I thought u were saying it changes steering feel.No I'm not confused- what I'm saying is I have a base w Performance Package, when you apply the brakes and tap traction control twice- Advancetrac Sport Mode is activated; my question is how is that different from the "toggle" sport mode
OK well now that is new- on my 11 you had to hold the brake pedal for 5 seconds first- but at least someone else is familiar with the sport mode on the base PPyou dont have to be on the brakes to do that. you can double tap while going 80mph and it will activate sport mode.
I'm pretty sure there is a difference with the base PP sport mode as far as steering and throttle responseOh ok I thought u were saying it changes steering feel.
The difference from the toggle sport mode is that the toggle version also increases throttle response and if it's an auto the shifts become more aggressive. In an auto it also means you can have complete control with the paddle shifters.
The base model is always in normal in terms of throttle response. PP also doesn't make a difference with the modes
Oh there's definitely a noticeable difference in throttle response when I switch to sport mode....any other base PP owners here that can back me up on this?It doesn't effect those. All you are changing is advancetrac. Believe me you would no without a doubt if it did, it's a pretty big difference in throttle response
You're lying to yourself man.Oh there's definitely a noticeable difference in throttle response when I switch to sport mode....any other base PP owners here that can back me up on this?
