Just to chime in...I wanted the S550 any way I could get it. Had no idea what the insurance would be like coming from a Focus with a dirty driving record, no idea what the focus would be worth, no idea what I wanted to put down on it either, I just knew I wanted one even if it was a bone stock V6. Even though mine has almost every option, there isnt a doubt in my mind I would have still been happy with the base. The fact that it's loaded is a bonus. This car is such an F you to convention and is such a fun mother to drive, the rest is frills

NO RAGRETS

I could never settle for the crappy base gt stereo screen. It's embarrassing to look at in a car that costs over 30k

I bought a base GT with the 3.55 rear axle and spare tire. I kept the stock wheels for snow tires and put on some 18x9.5et34 wheels with 275/40 summer tires. Given my situation of driving year round in Michigan and doing a couple track days a year, I think my options worked out perfectly. The only thing I regret is Ford putting a headlight dial in my car that rattles.

Could care less about how the base stereo looks.....didn't buy the car for the radio. It has everything i need; bluetooth, hands-free operation and SYNC, my smartphone does the rest.

The first time I saw pics of the base head unit I thought Ford was trolling.

the only thing i regret is not having 2 of these. 1 for the wife too, but she cant drive a stick so i would have to get her a base gt auto. then i can take hers to the track and get 12 second ETs by just mashing on the gas pedal

I *had* to go premium for the heated mirrors. I've no idea why that is a premium only feature. All the rest of the gizmos are nice, but not required.

I'm looking at a base comp orange GT PP with cloth recaros rather spend my money on going fast.

How bad is the base radio? I hate the way it looks my biggest issue so far.

I told my wife - no more compromises. I compromised and ended up driving a 2015 auto 4cyl sonata.

I was like if you like my car you will have to learn to drive it. Luckily for me, she agreed
