Rumor has it the 6th gen Camaro will look simular to this http://www.camaro6.com/2015/04/15/latest-2016-camaro-3d-render-looking-sleek/

Heard the looks are more evolutionary then revolutionary. Big change is the new lighter platform. Weight reduction should make these cars fast. I will be curious if they improve the interior at all. Wasn't ever a big fan of the interior on mine or the visibility. Also curious if they will put the Vette Motor in the SS...
This is what I have been pointing out.

Guessing that those renderings are very close. If that is the case, to me at least, it looks like a re-fresh of the 15. Were the S550 in no way, shape or form can be mistaken for the S197...

I don't want to see a Mustang in every driveway. I lile a little bit of exclusivity
If you like driving a car that is not commonly seen, then why would you buy a Mustang?

yeah pretty much this.

If you wanted an exclusive car you sure picked the wrong one.

I agree ford really did a great job keeping these cars true to the mustang but also moving them forward.

I agree, have seen a handful of 2015 stangs rolling and they are unmistakably '15s. The front can resemble the GT500 face of the S197s. but the '15s are wider and lower and truly different. Camaro6 is unmistakable from it's predecessor in the mug shot, but to me similar in the side, hind-quarter, and rear shots. Kind of the reverse of stang6 styling change?

The Camaro6 appears to leave too much of the condenser/radiator envelope exposed in the front impact zone.

Mmm... not feeling it at all. As others have said, it looks like a mildly refreshed 2015 with a slightly revised fascia. The Gen V Camaro look is long in the tooth - and I own a Gen V.

Ford hit it out of the park in my view with the S550. Chevy needs to do the same but I believe it is really going to be a sacrifice bunt to hopefully advance the runner. At best.

Too bad.

Ya I had a 2012 Camaro but traded it on my 2015 Mustang. Like you said design is starting to look dated. I'm really surprised Chevy didn't make the 6th gen look like the 70's camaro's. I think that would have been a good direction to go. Everyone notices that the 2015 is the new mustang. I have gotten lots of compliments on it already. I wonder if people will even notice a 2016 camaro is a 2016. Maybe other camaro owners will but guessing most people driving by will just think it is the same as the 2015.

My guess is that most people, especially from a side or 3/4 view, will not even recognize it as a new model at first. The changes really are too subtle IMO to call it a new model at all.

As ford did with the S550's front end, Chevy should have done something similar. Something so new and fresh that it evokes excitement.

When I first saw the S550 on GMA last year, I loved the look - every angle of it.

I do NOT feel that way about any of the 2016 Camaro renderings I've seen yet or, of the spy shots with the now nearly gone camo. It just looks so familiar and familiar is getting really old.

You have seen the car or just the renderings of the journalists?

I've seen renderings and shots of the actual car on a track and in the streets with various levels of camo. Most recently, there is not much left to the imagination as the bulky camo has been getting less and less.

The lines of the Gen VI Camaro are pretty well defined and easy to see and the renderings are nearly dead on in my opinion.

The renderings are other's imaginations of what is under the cammo. Yes, in the past they have been close but the cammo is not like it used to be. I am not sure when it started but the cammo covers are now lighter but there are add-on sheet metal parts under it to suggest a different shape.

I do not know what it looks like because I do not work for GM but my wife does and she ain't talking. When I show her renderings and photoshops she chuckles and says 'you need to wait and see.'

All I am saying is to not put every egg in these rendering baskets to form an opinion. The intro is just a week away. A 6.2L in a Cadillac ATS would be pretty darn fun and that is pretty much what is coming for the top model. Go back and read the ATS performance data including the 'ring lap times; this is the starting point they worked from. Am I worried? No. I do not race my car and I am enjoying it immensely so the Camaro means nothing to me at this point but I am a fan of design and engineering.

Oh, I definitely understand and appreciate your viewpoint.

However, I am fairly confident the renderings you are seeing are going to be very, very close to the real product. It doesn't matter to me either way as I will not be in the market for one regardless but it is fun to speculate.

I too am a fan of design - that is why I was really impressed with (and still am!) the S550.

I am also firmly convinced that what is revealed by Chevrolet will not be as dramatic or attractive as the S550 nor will it be that big of a departure from the Gen V Camaro.

I would love it to be; yes. But I would bet you a hot fudge sundae that in the twilight you will be hard pressed to tell a Gen V from a Gen VI Camaro from any angle. Up close and when you can see the front/rear fascia - maybe.

But most will see a Gen VI coming down the road and still not know if it is a 2016 or a 2010. Which is sad.

When I 'splained what I saw to my wife the only thing I got out of her was 'it was probably it.'

I was on my Harley and did not have a camera handy. Besides, the Corvette escort was boxing it in to keep anyone from getting close.

Yeah, I read that earlier. Could be the new 6th Gen. Time will tell. It would have been great if you could have got a pic!

Like I said, I'm not buying one regardless and if I do trade my ZL1 it will be either back to a C7 or the new Mustang.

I didn't read everything so I do not know if it is mentioned already but the new Camaro6 looks like the 2015 Dodge Charger to me.
