I am a suspension newb. What's the difference between the Steeda progressive and linear springs? How much drop and are they compatible with the stock shocks? I want to lower my car but no more than an inch. I think that'll be perfect for me...

Happy to help. These progressive springs will provide an exceptional ride quality and as roll increases, it increases the spring rates - that's the main difference between these and our current linear springs in which the currently available linear spring rate does not change.

For a majority of our customers, Steeda's new springs will offer the best of both worlds when it comes to performance and comfort. We've had our springs swapped in and out of the S550 hundreds upon hundreds of times since October of last year - a ton of R&D goes into all of our products.

The new progressives lower it 1.125" in front and 1" out back. The current linear ones drop the car 1" all around. Stock shocks/struts will be sufficient for either setup, although we are working on finalizing aftermarket shocks/struts.

We have asked that a few times. The last time he said I think you will be happy with pricing. It doesn't look like they are going to say anything. We will have to wait tell they go on sale early next week. I'm hoping they have a good limited time sale on them.

could one run the new progressive in the front and the linear in the rear? I suspect both sets are very similar in rate even though they achieve that differently?

I don't think I would mix spring types. Progressive would react differently than the linear style.
