What if we replace Original side mirrors and clear lights to it's Original when import from US?? We could get fine if we pulled over by cop?
Of course and get a defect, just like anything else that breaks the law, you would have to look into what size mirrors we require, what size the u.s specs ones are
As for the tail lights you would have to checks the laws again, you might get away with 1 amber 2 red

I was wondering whether this would be possible through tinting the two inner lights as red. But I am growing to like the clear lens look on the Deep Impact Blue

Lambos and ferrari has very tiny side mirrors... Now what's wrong with mustang mirrors?? I Simply can't understand why they had to modify our mustang mirrors... Total B SHIT!!

Agreed i couldnt give a toss, 99% of people wont know the colour they are suppose to be and its not like they will look odd because they will all look the same here lol and as for the mirrors, people are acting like they are huge towing mirrors, they will be the same size as every other car (give or take) if they are based on our laws

For those keen enough to actually change mirrors or tail-lights, get a copy of the ADR. Its been a while since I went through it, and these are the rule GUIDELINES used to make the laws, so the laws will be at MOST this lax, but:

For mirrors the size doesn't matter but angles of visibility from the normal driving position (there are specs on where the normal eye position is in the car) must meet some magic number at some distance behind the car. It could well be that US mirrors are fine, Ford US just took the easier route of making sure by overkill.

For rear lights I'm fairly certain lense colour does not matter. It is the colour and intensity of the projected light that matters. So again, a red lense like the US spec could be legal if the LEDs are adapted such that indicating gives off an amber light from part of it (one bar would be the best solution).

Thanks for great information :)

Car comes the way it comes - prospective buyers can walk away or modify it to their liking. Free country guys.
I couldn't care less about mirrors or rear lights. The only thing I still don't dig is the faux petrol filler with a GT badge. If it looks crap when I see it in person I'll just import an entire panel from US. Problem solved.

I messaged Ford again yesterday to try and get confirmation on the daytime running lights. They came back today and said ours will be identical to the European spec.

So we get the non functioning tri bar lights. So much for a signature design of the mustang..

That's not true. If its similar to Euro spec the tri bar will appear on when the headlight is on. Ie just a reflection of the low beam

We shall see when we compare it with a US spec at night. A tri bar bar lit LED will definitely look better than tri bar glass reflection.
