The reasoning behind the pricing is that Monoblock forged wheels are a lot more time consuming to make and due to the amount of material needed to make one forged wheel. Comparing it to the amount of material needed to make a 2/3-piece forged wheel, Monoblock wheels take a lot more time to go through the machining phase and you're paying for one of the lightest/strongest materials. One forging weighs in from 130-150lbs depending on which size you are looking at (20x9-20x12.5) and we cut it down to weigh in around 25lbs depending on design as well. Another thing is we make the wheels in house here in Miami by our engineering team and machinists and includes full customization for the customer (Color finish and engraving of the customer's name, special serial number, manufacturing month/year, year/make/model of the car, and specs of the wheels). With that price I guess Vossen is aimed at exotic market, not so much for Mustang folks. Probably need to have 100k+ car to make the purchase justifiable.

Even the highest end finish Monoblock Volks like G27 prism cost around 1.2k only.

Hell you can pick up sets of 3-piece wheels for around 1.2k per wheel.

They are aiming at the same market as HRE. Their forged monoblocks can easily get into the $2k per wheel range.

We actually have sold a few sets to the S550 crowd thus far, one guy was even in Russia! This is build completely in house by us here in Miami and we had to create some new engineering methods to ensure maximum concave depth, strength and lightness. In addition our "run-out" might be the lowest in the industry thus you will need a minimum of any weights, if any when you get things balanced.

If anyone is ever in the area, we would love to give a tour of the facility!

They are all the same amount of concave, it just depends on the car they are made for and how aggressive the wheel is. Here is an Idea of how concave my VPS-302's were on the S550 Platform.
