I know some of you guys/gals use the cars for more then going straight and to local hardpark meets. Lets see some pics.


Bright and early getting ready. 100% stock for FS

Final results. Not bad for surface temps being in the 40's and my first event in this car coming from a SM AWD car. But I definitely have improvements to make and build confidence in the car.

How you liking the EB in terms of power delivery for autox?

My GT has tq for days and honestly after yesterdays event I think its almost to much at times, I dont think that I will be adding any power upgrades till I can get rear tires to stick. As I had some severe traction issues, and that is with me leaving the car in 2nd gear the entire time.

I am keeping up with the GTs, and the Camaros are having troubles.

Once I am more used to the setup and add a few Steeda tweeks here and there on the suspension I think I'll be very competitive in FS. Too many "tweeks" and I'll end up in ESP. :O Surprisingly I'm in the top end of CAM as well.

GREAT to know some of the outer limits of this car...you did that on Summer tires in 40 deg. Damm...

Yes this is in a 100% stock GT PP with stock tires, I didnt event take anything out of the trunk :lol:
The car has loads of lateral grip and surprisingly is very neutral at the limit with only slight understeer.
This weekends event should be in the 50's and I will start playing more with tire pressures to help out with rotation.
Throwing some slightly better and wider tires on this car and it should be a very competitive car in FS.

You will have a blast. Just remember to turn off stability control once you get used to the car. I found it to be quite intrusive once I learned how the car behaves at the limit, especially when I wanted to rotate the car around some of the tighter sections.
I also found that the front tires were working the best around 37-38PSI hot, and the rears were a bit better around 35-36PSI. Much more then that in the rear and I started struggling for grip coming out of corners.

Just awesome results...I may have to do a HOD event this year in this car opposed to the GT500..

Good to know, thanks! I'm coming from a Cobalt SS turbo that dominated most of the field for what it was worth with minor mods. How are the OEM Pirelli's? I might pick up another set for cheap but wanted to see how they do at aggressive driving first.

I think the biggest thing to get use to will be the size of this thing in regards to hitting cones haha. I've been meaning to go to a track day in the near future.

The stock tires seem to be decent, but like you I am going to wait and see how they hold up before I commit to try and buy another set.
The size is one thing that I am having a hard time learing, I came from a SM preped WRX that was 2600lbs so this thing feels a big and fat. However for its sheer size it has quite a bit of bite once you set up for a corner. I will admit that the suspension works very well out of the box, the rear diff makes great work of managing tire slip, and the brakes are decent for the fact that they come loaded with street pads.
