So after contacting a Customer Rep from American Muscle, i've heard that the OEM GT stangs' Brembo 6 Piston fits on EB PP. I know someone else posted that the fit was good, but I couldn't find that thread. My purpose of this thread is to ask whether anyone would be willing to spend $1,899.99 for a 6 piston Brembo caliper to install in their EcoBoost? I'm sure in time, there will be cheaper alternatives like for example some GT peeps willing to sell their 6 Piston Brembos to upgrade for something better. So as my fellow EB enthusiasts, would you go for it?:crazy::confused:

I havent driven a GT with the PP, so i can't comment on the Brembos, but in all honesty the stock GT brakes with the PP bite real hard. I can see upgrading to the Brembos if you track the car a lot. For a street car i think it would be overkill.

You have to admit, EB is fun to drive, so I'm sure you often get tempted to drive a little more aggressive during street driving or highway to get pass "intentional slow drivers." Here in SoCal, we tend to do canyon driving a few times a month (For those of us that are conservative), so having better bite makes the car more agile and quicker to corner. I've never tracked my cars, but driving in Mulholland, Angel's crest, Malibu, and Santa Monica mountains makes it worthwhile in having our cars. Some may disagree, but I believe EB Mustangs are the new RWD Lancer Evolutions X. The sky is the limit for us. :D

Yea the EB PP brakes are actually the 13-14 GT track pack brakes. I can think of 5 good upgrades one could do with $1800

1899 is decent.

Look through my threads, I was the one who mounted the 6 Piston Brembos to my car.

What is the purpose of your car?

Anthony
Daily driving with spontaneous aggressive-offensive (my definition of defensive-driving) driving.

The EB PP brakes are more than enough for 99 percent of people. In a year or so you'll be able to pick up somebody's for cheap used. A lot of guys may even trade with you or a base non PP EB for lighter front brakes if they're drag racers

100% agree with you. Ever since the ecoboost started hitting magazines and reviews online i always thought it was an Evo version RWD platform.

Nice!

Look in junk yards for wrecked GT's with the PP. Might be alot cheaper.

If you are not tracking your car at least 2-3 times a year and doing autox in between...stop and put your credit card away. You can use that money more wisely.

The standard GT brakes/EB PP brakes are not the 13/14 track pack brakes. However I wish they were. They are made by ford directly, not Brembo.

I would say you'd be wasting your money then. If you want better pedal feel and more stopping power I'd look into pads and stainless steel brake lines. The brakes you have are more than enough for the street and enthusiastic driving.

You're going to have too much brake for the tires anyhow with EB PP brakes until you step up to a 285 Rival or RS3 tire.

I wouldn't quite call it a Evo... More like a 2015 Silvia.... If only they would've kept the weight around 3200

Although they are made by Ford I would think they are just as good. I got that info from this article BTW

Ford notes that the standard brake package on the Mustang GT is equivalent to the 2014 Mustang GT’s Track Package setup—and that’s the same package as you’ll get with the 2015 Mustang EcoBoost performance pack.
