Right now it's 500.00 on the 15s. Do you think come May,they will increase? If so how much? I'm debating ordering now or waiting. I know they will give me whatever the incentive is at the time of arrival on a 15, but if it stays 500, May as well order an 16. Thanks for any insight.

Just order a 2015 now. It is unlikely a steeper incentive is coming.

It will be interesting to see what happens with incentives, when the new Camaro is released.

Here in CA there is $500 cash, $750 competitive lease cash and just added till the 31st is $500 ecoboost cash. Cant pass that up and if I get my $750 Ford Private cash thats gonna be awesome!

Why? There are no mechanical or cosmetic changes at all. Unless you want the new black.. You'd only wait longer for a '16. Order now, get the better incentives at time of delivery.

^^^^ I think I may do this.. If no changes other than colors and Sync 3, no big deal I suppose.

From a business standpoint it does not look good to have a considerable amount of previous MY vehicles sitting on your lot. When Ford evaluates a dealership for future allocations of a specific vehicle they look at sales numbers and average age of stock on the lot.

It pretty much looks like the 2016 is going to be a rollover of the 2015, however, they are still statistically a different car. Thus, it will be benefit dealers to get them (the 15's) off the lot, including taking a hit just to free up the spot.

My guess is right about December or so you'll start seeing bigger numbers put on the hoods of the leftover 2015s.

It's not just a rollover...there are already changes being posted in the order bank.

- black roof
- stripe options for hood/top/back
- California Special replacing 50th appearance package
- new interior yellow color.

No I understand totally, what I meant is they're not adding something like the 10 speed auto, an Auto GT PP or something like that.

Sync 3 is a big enough incentive to just wait for the '16s. Unless a dealer offers a deal on a '15 I simply can't refuse I will just order my '16 on May 11th and hopefully it will be delivered by October with some good incentives available at that point. For those that couldn't care less about the infotainment options then I suppose buying now is a perfectly reasonable position, although since we're approaching summer I doubt incentives will be as good overall.

This.
2015's will only sell better as the weather improves and once the 16's hit the lots you may see rebates on 15's, but 16's will have very few incentives and I would expect nothing larger than the current offerings until the winter months. It's not like they're having trouble selling these cars.

Trying to get a thread going with official changes. Will update as they appear (or Jarstang can add also) (via http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20094&highlight=2016)

2016 Mustang Order Banks are visible now (but ordering & pricing isn't available yet). Here's just a couple of tidbits that I don't think we knew about before now....
  • "California Special" returns as an option on GT models.
  • Black painted roof is an option on GT models.
  • New interior color (leather and Recaros) called "yellow jacket."
  • Some sort of accent stripes available on GT's.
No, I don't have any details on these items. Yes, I trust somebody will chime in to add to these findings.

More to follow...
If you're looking at a GT AND you want a black roof or you want a yellow interior or a slightly different stripe package

or

you want to pay the extra monies for Sync 3

then sure, wait the 8 months. Or wait the 8 months and buy a deep discount 2015. You could definitely get a great deal as dealers try to clear the lots.
Personally, I couldn't wait that long if I was seriously in the market now.

Edit: ha, just noticed Spartan posted both of these, haha. Well then I don't need to inform you.. :p but i'll leave this here for those that haven't seen your official post.

Mustang sales and incentives...

A few weeks ago, my dealer had 5 Mustangs sitting in the lot. Now, they are all gone as weather has warmed up. The only Mustang left is a newly delivered RR GT convertible. So if this smaller Mid-MN dealership is any indicator...there won't be much impetus for Ford to increase any incentive.
