Seems there are a few options within the options, and I have searched most if not all of the posts before I decided to ask directly...

  • Borla "S" - 2.5" with a 49 Style Tip or FRPP Sport - 2.5" (Looks like the 49 Style Borla Tip)
  • Borla "S" - 3" with a 36 Style Tip (seems like a more angled cut)
  • MRT 3" - (ASSUMING why MRT raised their prices since they were lower than the 2.5" systems out there)
So my questions:

  • Does the 3" system produce a little more drone?
  • Assuming benefit of 3" would be if I go to headers later on, other than that the cool factor
  • Is anyone running the 3" Borla? If so any difference sound wise from 2.5" system?
I Like the ARH Cat Back as well, but mentally I hate the fact you have to clamp the tips on...Stupid I know, but it is a Nit I can't get over...yes I can weld it, but argh! The Corsa is Bad Ass, but WAY TOO Loud for this old man!

Thanks in advance...

I have the ARH and it sounds super sweet. like you, the part that I disliked the most was clamping the tips. But once you have them set and you hear that deep rumble, you will quickly forget about those clamped tips!

Depends on where you place the nut and bolt. I placed it on top, and you cant really see them unless youre looking for it.

I personally like the clamp on tip that way if I want to put Roush rear diffuser on my car I can possibly put a dual tip on it

What do the other systems do with the tips? Do they just come pre-welded on vs having to clamp them?

I've never noticed the clamp. The only negative regarding the ARH tips that I can think of is that you can see the piping inside of the tip. I'm posting more vids shortly in my ARH thread, and in one of them you can somewhat see what i'm referring to.

Thanks a bunch!

ARH system is pretty dang impressive. We're running the system and even without cats, we have zero drone.

Catback is really no different. Only other system that we've tested that had no drone was Corsa. The FRPP sports we tested didn't really have drone either.

let us know if we can help you out, you'll be impressed with the build quality of ARH:)
