Hi Everyone,
I recently took my car in to the dealer because of a check engine light. They diagnosed the car and the trouble code reads back a misfire. They haven't been able to find the root cause of the problem. Today, I was told that the misfire could be caused because I'm using 91 Octane in my Ecoboost PP.
It got me wondering what octane is everyone else using. The manual does says we should use 87 Octane. Could the tech be right? Could 91 Octane cause a misfire?
