Had the car on the dyno today at PBH being tuned by Ken B from Lund Racing. The car made 749/572 @ 13.5psi with very conservative timing. Gonna pulley it down to 15psi tomorrow and nail down the rest of the tune for the track. Can't wait to see this thing move out!

Sickness!

So...random question...is Whipple going to offer a warranty on their system similar to the Roush system? How bout if you installed it?

No. Even though we're still using conservative timing that is suitable for 93 the boost level and power we're making with the setup isn't really safe for 93.

The race fuel simply prevents detonation and allows us to support that power legs without grenadine the stock block.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks,
Jared

I'm unsure of the warranty at this time but will find out today and post my findings.

Thanks

Taking orders on the auto kits, with or without big TB on March 2nd so they are very close....
I'd love for my auto LE to be the first with a Whipple SC!!!
When I was still waiting for the delivery of my car, my dealership suggested that there may be an Outlaw package available with an SC.
At the time I was not interested in swapping out my PP wheels, so I considered installing the SC (& TB) only, without the ground effects package.

I also told the dealer that I was most interested in a Whipple SC. They agreed that they could do so, for a minimal upcharge, a long as they could get pricing on it before I took delivery. Unfortunately, on the day of delivery, 11/24, they could not provide pricing....Sadly, this meant no SC for my LE when she finally arrived.
However, since Whipple's SC is now available for the A/T trans, I'd LOVE to be your test pony (or guinea pig)! PLEASE send me a PM if you're interested (I certainly am)!
It would be fantastic to have it installed just in time for the spring car shows. My plan is to attend the mid-Atlantic shows before taking a road trip West to Vegas!
(... and if the SC is available in chrome I've got a smokin' hot new nail polish to match [emoji2]) !!!

Whipple already has a car for R&D. So unfortunately there's no special deal we can offer you other than your forum discount.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks, Jared

Thanks Jared, I appreciate your prompt response, and your honesty.
Whipple has created a beast with that SC. I hope to have an opportunity to see one at the track, in an auto trans this Spring!

Any resolution on this?
Whipple is working on the warranty stuff now but it's not 100% solid.

From what I know so far they will offer $5000.00 worth of coverage on engine only. They're working to include transmission in that as well but that's not been finalized yet. The cost of the warranty they're working on will run in the $300-$400 range based on the $5000.00 engine coverage.

All of this is not set in stone and could easily change before it's finalized. I'll keep everyone updated as the info comes in.

Thanks, Jared
