Ok so how critical are the intercooler lines...all one piece or having them connect with a few silicone couplers? The least expensive I've found is from fftec which is around $180 to seeing them upwards $400 let say I build one not welded but use silicone couplers to connect them will there be a noticeable difference...I rather spend that money on an intercooler...

Well $400 is way too much for the performance you will gain from them. Likely you won't see a big difference in max HP but the throttle response should be better. Had I not got them as part of a package (basically free with the money saved) I probably wouldn't buy them as a stand alone purchase until you upgrade the turbo.

That being said if you want them the FFTEC pipes are quality and reasonably priced.

Ok because I know I can put one together for under $100 but have been hesitant because I wasn't sure if I used couplers it would be bad

I wouldn't use a bunch of couplers due to the risk of blowing one off, but if you're good with it go for it.

Not to mention if the pipes aren't rolled, they're likely to blow off as well. I've charged around 300 just to tig people's IC pipes together before, so the cost of these pipe kits are beyond fair.

I wouldn't put them together without putting a bead roll on them
