Yeah, last year wasn’t as full because of the rain; at least for the Mustangs. I had my Maverick there and things were full on the top of the hill.

The two years prior had been packed.

The vendors have been full as well.

I Just registered for this myself. I had to look outside carlisle for a hotel. I Paid$800 for 2 nights about 15 miles down the road. Everything I looked at in Carlisle is booked up. Looking forward to seeing some forum members here. If the weathers nice it will be a big turn out.

Just registered and got a hotel, this will be my first time. Driving out Friday and leaving Sunday, it will be about a 3 hour ride. Doing the Saturday parade to see what that's like too. Unbelievable number of show classes, for some reason there's a 2021 Mach 1 class?! Hard to imagine there will be many entered.
myself and 3 other ‘21’s coming down from New England !

Just got my registration packet today! They have moved the Mach 1 area back to the eastern fence near the car corral. Still not a bad area and maybe I'll get lucky and find some shade. See you there!

First timer here and wondering a few things... still haven't gotten anything in the mail, all I have is my registration email from December.

I have a 4-post popup tent and also a lawn chair with a flip-up shade, trying to decide which one to bring. I think the tent is either an 8' x 8' or a 10' x 10'.

If I bring the popup tent I'll go over Friday and pick a spot and leave the tent there overnight to save the spot, I imagine quite a few people do that so they don't have to get there at the asscrack of dawn Saturday?

It's gonna be dirty and covered with bugs from the drive out, maybe bring Windex and paper towels for a last-minute cleanup at the show? We have all day so it might be nice to have something to do for a little while.

You can bring the canopy but you are responsible for anything that happens because of it. There are still some in the Mach 1 group that have trauma over a canopy that got loose three years ago and did some serious damage to some cars. Last year the rain came in fast on Saturday afternoon and I made the poor choice of not pulling mine down quick enough. It hit us hard. A bunch of us were literally holding on to the underside of our canopies to keep them from flying away. The smaller size you have will be easier to fit and it always depends on where you park as to space for the canopy. Bring good stakes.

The showfield rules state that any personal canopies must be removed daily and that you cannot save any spaces. I can't say I've seen anyone leaving personal canopies overnight.

As to cleaning your vehicle, last year there were some hoses available just inside Gate 4 that you can use to clean off your vehicle if they aren't all in use. Not sure where you are staying in the area but there are some car wash places locally as well. I actually live locally, in Mechanicsburg, about 20 minutes North of Carlisle. Let me know if I can help.

Here is the Mach 1 area of the showfield last year from the hilltop on Saturday, my car and again on Sunday morning. Don't come on Sunday.

I found a self spray car wash nearby and brought supplies to clean the car day before.

Something that everyone should consider when coming to any Carlisle show/event is to download the Carlisle Events app on your phone. It will have all of the information about the show including vendors, restrooms, show classes, and even does a mapping feature to take you from where you are to where you want to go on the map, super helpful!

You won't see anything about the Ford Nationals right now but in the days before each show they add all the details and info for the upcoming event. Next show in the immediate future is the Import and Performance show May 15-16. You'll be able to see some of the info for that show before they switch and load the Ford Nationals info after that one is done.

Driving in Friday night... I see registration opens at 7AM Saturday and the show starts at 9. I'm in the blue field in 540. Advice on what time to arrive to get a good spot? Although I checked a satellite view and every spot in that section looks identical so it might not matter if I get there at 6 vs 8:00.
