Fordscan in South NJ?

Hello everyone, I am new to S550. I recently purchased 2021 GT Convertible California Special 6MT. Came from 2003 Mustang GTc 5MT. Loving this car but hate 3 things that came factory.

I am wondering if anyone in NJ has a FordScan to help me delete 3 things.

(1) I need to disable the two loud honks while the engine is on and you step out of the vehicle. It drives me nuts.

(2) disable the walk away lock, because I keep my car only in my garage and don’t need to auto lock

(3) DRL off. I don’t want that led 3 dashes to eventually die out.

Anyone live close to Cherry Hill, NJ or in South or central jerseys/Philadelphia? I am willing to drive to you if you can help hook up to your Fordscan and disable these.

You might not need ForScan. Look for your owner's manual in the secret glove compartment hiding place (pull the yellow tab), or you can view or download it for free here - https://www.fordservicecontent.com/...56008&VIN=&userMarket=usa&div=f&buildtype=web

You might be able to change the settings for #1 and #2, but I don't think you can turn off the tribar LEDs. They are not the DRLs, headlights on low beam are. The good news is that they're LEDs, so they probably won't ever die. Have you ever seen an S550 with one or both not working?

Hi! Thank you! I went through the manual… it says a code to setting the vehicle able to walk back, but in my settings vehicle, there is no such thing as walk away lock to disable. Also online says there is autoloc disable but again, nothing in settings—vehicle.

It might seem tedious, but I enjoyed going through all the options on the settings and Pony buttons. You might see things you didn't know you could change, and I think you'll find what you need for your first two issues. I could be wrong, but try doing a deep dive into all the submenus. Good luck.

After doing some searching on the forum, it looks like you might need ForScan, at least to disable the double honk. Sorry about that.

That is correct and no problem friend. I visited serval dealerships and no tech would kindly disable these.
So back to my original question. Anyone in NJ is willing to help let me know !
