Does anyone else have a problem with Ceramic Interior? I have been noticing that my jeans wear off on the seat. They are old jeans and should not be doing this, they leave a big blue smear on the seat. I will get pictures next time I am in it, but I have already cleaned the seats multiple times and am taking it to Ford for a raddle in the door so I will mention it to them.

Light color seating. That's a risk with it.

Havent sat in my car enough to see the ceramic seats get dirty. Will let you know later on this Summer.

It's hard to find Ceramic. That's the color I'd prefer.

I have the same issue, blue streaks on the left bolster.

Paid a local detailer, and he was able to get them out without much difficulty. Unfortunately, I didn't see the product he used. I sort of modified the way I get in and out so that I touch mostly the seat bottom instead of the bolster. It seems to be less prone to the color transfer. Different material or coating maybe?

well
it is NOT the light colour!
it is a question of Surface Treatment...
The seats in my chrysler 300c do not take the colour of Jeans etc.
The seats in my BMW z4 35i do.
the seats in the BMW are even darker and still have a dramatic tendency to do it...
if you take real premium manufacturers, there won't be a Problem.
rolls royce as well as Bentley are proud to emphesis that their premium leather is finished in a way that the Problem (being the Topic of this thread) does not occur, as their customers expect perfection...

What do you recommend for 3rd party surface treatment? So far I've used ArmorAll Leather and so far so good. (only 200 km on the clock so)

Yeah I wouldn't get this color for the same reason.

I was at the car show in DC and saw the BMW with the light colored seats and the seats were stained blue due to the jeans. That's crap, imo.

Did you check out the DIB Mustang there? It had ceramic interior and the bottom of the seat was almost blue from all of the jean stains....

Yeah I did, I was a bit disappointed and instantly made me cross that option off my list.

The saddle was nice though that they had in the vert.

This has been a very common occurrence with both Cermaic and Saddle interiors; a lot of complaints about it on the Issues board.

I have the ceramic, almost 2 months now, and no staining issue. Still looks brand new. I wear jeans frequently, as does my son who I take to school every day. I've used Opticare Leather Cleaner/Protector on the seats a couple of times, so maybe that is helping to prevent staining.
