Well, I'm sold on the looks of these. The color of the lense is just right (not too white) and the amber sequential turn signals are sweeeet.

They've been out for nearly 4 years now. Can anyone give a review of how well they have held up? Pictures are most welcome!

I'm sure the Morimotos are great, they almost always put out stellar products.

I've not had experience and can't recall seeing anyone explicitly mention these. But $800 for a set of taillights that are the (imo) 2nd best looking shape for an S550 is crazy. Buy a set of Vlands off many of the resellers around for less than half.

Everything MM I have on any of my vehicles has been of the best quality. I have no doubt the tail lights would not disappoint there. But yeah, $800 is pretty steep. From the one video it did look like the blink action is a bit quicker than I would prefer.

I bought the MM sequential LED front turn signals for my S550 on a Black Friday deal, and even with a 25% discount felt I overpaid. They do look great, the sequential action is very smooth, and the aluminum housing is better than OE. But the build quality is something I would rarely get the chance to appreciate.

Regardless, if cost isn't an issue for you on the tail lights, then I'd say go for it.

Thanks for the replies y'all. I've heard Morimoto makes nice stuff, but have never had any. I agree $800 is steep... until you price out the factory tail lights (TWICE as expensive). And the other aftermarkets seem hit or miss with quality from what I've been able to find. Troubles sealing, clearcoat issues etc. Would rather do it once with known high quality stuff.

The Morimoto's do sequence slightly quicker than factory, but that might not be a bad thing (information being sent/received faster is usually safer). I don't mind how it looks anyway.

I'll still watch this thread for a bit before getting them. Hopefully someone here has them and can give a review. I'm not in a big hurry..
