The offset difference is only 7.5 mm, or a little more than 1/4 inch, should not be a problem, and I've seen people putting 10" wides on the front with no issue, so the 9.5 should also work.I believe at least one car was built from the factory with the 9.5" square setup running 275's on each corner with zero issues.
Interesting...I have heard that the offset won't allow you to run the rears on the front.
Good to know. Wish I could find that post where the owner stated they had all 9.5" wide PP wheels on their car. Might have been a different forum. You can NOT put the rear PP wheels on the front of a PP Mustang. It will need at least 1/4" spacer the tire is pressed against the strut body without a spacer.
Less offset. A wider wheel with less offset simply shifts the wheel/tire towards the outside of the car and away from the strut. However, then the concern becomes will the outside of the tire clear everything through the full range of suspension and steering travel. If 9.5s contact the strut, how'd someone even bolt on 10" rims?

I am desperate to put rears on the front for a square set up...Mustangs need as much meat up front as possible, IMO.
I have a S197 with a 275-35 tire/9.5" rim on all four corners...so much room until I give it full negative camber and it only rubs the spash shield at full lock under compression. I know the S550 is different, but with the Shelby set up, I am in a little disbelief 9.5s don't fit a standard GT/EcoBoost. I am sure Ford does not do different strut, hubs or knuckle for each car....possibly the GT350.
If anyone else has tried this since this thread, please advise. I am also interested in full lock clearance under some compression. It's a pain to test that, but worth the effort...brake and strut clearance is very easy to verify, of course. Some one has had to have switched a front with a rear and ran around the block once since these cars came out.
Typical 10" fitment is +40 or +35, so all the extra width is on the outside, so no strut clearance issue. And works fine front & rear.Less offset. A wider wheel with less offset simply shifts the wheel/tire towards the outside of the car and away from the strut. However, then the concern becomes will the outside of the tire clear everything through the full range of suspension and steering travel.

GT PP offsets are Front: 45 mm, Rear: 52.5 mm
Are longer studs required or do the stock studs provide the needed 14 mm lug nut thread engagement? The rear GTPP wheels will work but you need a 5mm spacer for it to work properly.
